[0079] Example 2: Characterizing the tablet according to embodiments of the present invention.
[0080] The sustainable tablet prepared according to the embodiments of the present invention was tested for its hardness, friability, aqua testing and Soil testing according to the below methods.
[0081] Tablet Hardness: Hardness was checked by using apparatus (Pfizer Tablet hardness tester, wherein the tablet was placed between its two jaws that crushes the tablet. The machine/apparatus measures the force applied to the tablet and detects when it fractures. The metered reading was noted and was found to be 10 Kilogram force per square centimeter.
[0082] Friability: Friability test is performed by using friability test apparatus. Initially weighed and counted tablets are placed in the apparatus for 4 minutes at the speed of 25 rpm (revolutions per minute). After that, Tablets was collected and reweighed again (Final weight). Friability was calculated by using the below formula and was found to be 0.7%.
Friability =
[0083] Aqua Testing: Prepared tablet was placed was in deionized water with plant (initially noted growth, as shown in Figure 1) and after 30 days growth of plant was observed (final growth). For comparison, reference plants (without tablet) were also kept at same conditions. The tests show positive outcomes as plant with formulated tablet (in the bottle labelled AA3-1 in Figure 2) shows better/ more growth as compared with other ones (without tablet, refer to bottles AA1-0 and AA2-0 in Figure 2).
[0084] Soil Testing: Soil testing was carried out to determine the amounts of nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus. Results of available nutrients kg/acre depicted in Table 2. Amounts of Nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium as detected are depicted in Table 3.
[0085] Detection of Nitrogen using Micro Kjeldahl Distillation Assembly: Soil was treated with an excess of alkaline KMnO4 and the amount of ammonia thus evolved is absorbed in standard acid. The excess of acid is then titrated with standard alkali using methyl red indicator and from the volume of H2SO4 used for absorption of ammonia, the amount of nitrogen in the given sample was calculated.
[0086] Detection of Phosphorus using Calorimetry: Soil was shaken with 0.5M NaHCO3 and the Phosphorus in the extract was treated with ammonium molybdate. Then the phosphomolybdate is reduced by ascorbic acid. As a result of this reduction, the complex assumes a characteristic blue color whose intensity is measured with calorimetry at 760 mm. A standard plot of different concentrations of P against readings of calorimetry gives the intensity of phosphorus.
[0087] Detection of Potassium using Flame Photometer: Soil was shaken with neutral normal ammonium acetate and the suspension was filtered. The extract thus obtained was tested for its content of potassium with the help of flame photometer.
[0088] Detection of pH: pH was measured by determining the hydrogen ion activity in the aqueous solution.
