Embodiments of the present invention will be described below in detail with
reference to the accompanying drawings.
20
Reference is made to the figure 1 of the present invention to describe an embodiment
disclosed therein. The present invention works in an online environment for changing
the value of an object. The present invention may be applicable for trading the players
in a virtual environment based on the value of the players calculated in according to
25 their performances in the real world.
According to the figure 1, the system 100 for trading players operating in a virtual
environment comprising a user input or output device 102 such as a smart mobile
phone to connect to the trading platform. The system provides a selection component
9
104 to the users of the system after accessing the platform. The selection component
104 has multiple events to be selected like any sport events for example, but not
limited to, cricket, football etc. The users would find the list of upcoming events,
preferably upcoming sport events, to select their preferred event for trading or
5 changing the value of the objects within the event. Once the preferred event is
selected, the users would be directed to another component 106 having different
modes of trading and particularly, it could be buy/sell trading mode, the multi bagger
mode or the multi-bagger mode. The different modes in the component 106 are not
limited to the aforesaid modes of trading and it can include other similar modes,
10 which are obvious to the person skilled in the art.
The users must provide some virtual money to the platform for trading by transferring
the real money to the bank account of the platform. Accordingly, the platform will
issue virtual money in the account of the user of the equal value as transferred in the
15 bank account of the platform. The value of the virtual money can be changed in
another embodiment based on the predefined rules of the platform. The user can
select n number of players and n shares for each player chosen for trading. With each
share buy/sell the platform will deduct the virtual money from the user’s account.
Thus, the buying/selling or multi-bagger holding of the shares is allowed until the
20 user’s account has virtual money available to do trading.
The system 100 is provided with a processor 108 to process the selection made by the
user in the component 106. If the user selects the buy/sell trading mode, the user is
directed to a list of players provided by the system who may be playing during the
25 selected sport event. The players would already be provided with a value, which is
based on their previous performance, or the admin has provided. Accordingly, if the
user selects the buy/sell mode, the user has to select the performance of the players
based on his experience, knowledge, skills, risk factor and the previous performance
of the player, as shown in the selection component 110. This step is completely on
10
the user to decide based on his application of mind. The user has to select at least one
player based on the virtual money available in his account to buy/sell the listed
players.
5 Further, the user has both options for trading the players, namely, buy the players at
the given price or sell the players. In the case of buying, the pre-defined cost would
become the cost price and the changed value after the game would become the selling
price. Accordingly, based on the difference between the selling and cost price, the
points are calculated by a component 112. The calculated points can be in positive or
10 negative. The user generally selects the buying option when he analysis that the
selected player would perform better and therefore there are high chances of
increasing the value of the player after the game. The change in value of the player
depends on the various factors, alone or in combination with, like, player
performance, match results, team performance, etc.
15
Alternatively, in the case of selling, the pre-defined cost would become the cost price
and the changed value after the game would become the selling price. As the user
analyses that the player might not perform better and so his changed value will be
lesser than the predefined cost, the user can use his skills accordingly. Hence, based
20 on the difference between the selling and cost price, the points are calculated for the
user. The change in value of the player depends on the various factors, alone or in
combination with, like, player performance, match results, team performance, etc.
Alternatively, the user has an option to select the multi-bagger feature using a multi25 bagger component 114. The said component 114 allows the user to hold the players
and the projected/expected return from that particular player shall be displayed in the
corresponding cell. There is no limit on the purchase of shares of a particular
player(s).
11
In another embodiment of the present invention, the system 100 is provided with a
premium multi-bagger trade component 116. The component 116 is provided for
processing a short format of multi-bagger section. The user may hold share of
players, similar to the format of multi-bagger, but in premium multi-bagger there will
5 be less competition as the user can decided based on his skills to choose the highest
point scorer among 4 to 5 players only. Whosoever grab the highest points from the
given player will become premium multi-bagger. However, as we all know that high
risk has high gains, low risk has low gains so return (how many times) of a player
will be less as compared to multi-bagger also 1 share will have value of 50 rupees in
10 premium multi-bagger which is 10 rupees in multi-bagger.
The system allows to monitor the players’ performance during the match and the
increase/decrease in the points of the player based on the performance of the player is
visible.
15
Once the game is over, the user can check the final earnings from his portfolio by
visiting the result section’ in the platform. The security for the users is provided by
ensuring that profit/loss can never be more than double the share of the base price of
the player(s). In case the match stops due to rain, the user gets a refund, but only for
20 incomplete “limited-over” matches. The user can withdraw all the virtual money
invested in the platform by transferring them directly to the bank account.
As per another embodiment of the present invention illustrated in figure 2 is a smart
method of trading a value of at least one player by a user in an online environment.
25 The method provides a first step S1 of either registering to the platform/system or
login to the platform. The secured login allows only the user to enter his account. The
next step S2 is to select a match or event from the list of upcoming events provided in
the platform. Once the user has selected the event, the user goes to the next step S3 of
selecting the trading mode namely, Buy/Sell trade, multi-bagger trade or the premium
12
multi-bagger mode. Accordingly, the user then starts creating a portfolio of his
players as per his analysis. The selection step S4 by analysis is based, either alone or
in combination with, on prior experience, analysis and other related factors. The user
then selects the players in step S5 for trading on the predefined cost. Once the
5 selected match or the event starts, the user can see the performance of the player and
the real-time monitoring of the value of the players. After the match, the value of the
players are changed based at least on their performance and thus, the trade concludes
there on step S6. The traded value is converted in form of the virtual currency or
points of the same value as the real currency. The user can then withdraw his money
10 from the platform directly to he bank account in the real world. The trading in the
present invention is secured with the maximum and minimum cap on the loss and
profits to the users. Thus, the present invention provides an enhanced security to the
users.
15 The method of trading the value of at least one player by the user in an online
environment on a smart device 102 of the present invention comprises the steps of:
- assigning a pre-defined base value of each stock of the at least one player by a
computing device 120 based on previous performance in any sports event;
- analyzing S4 an increase and/or a decrease in the assigned pre-defined base
20 value of each stock for the at least one player by the user;
- selecting S5 by the user n number of stocks of the at least one player based on
the analyzed increase and/or decrease in the assigned pre-defined base value for the at
least one player, wherein n>0;
- trading S6 of said selected n number of stocks by the user on said computing
25 device configured with predefined rules wherein change in the total value of the n
number of traded stocks is calculated by the computing device; and
- realizing said changed value of the traded stocks by the user to complete
trading.
13
The computing device 120 is configured with predefined rules to calculate the change
in the value of the stocks. The user analyses the increase and/or decrease in the predefined base value for the at least one player based on his analysis and experience.
The calculated changed value of the at least one player is based on real-time
5 parameters, wherein the real-time parameters includes live performances of the at
least one player in at least one fantasy sports event and the realized points are equal to
a value of applicable real currency. The points for selecting the analyzed increase in
the pre-defined base value of the at least one player would have a positive value if the
changed value is more than the pre-defined cost, and the points for selecting the
10 analyzed decrease in the pre-defined base value of the at least one player would have
a negative value if the changed value is less than the pre-defined cost.
The figures and the forgoing description give examples of embodiments. Those
skilled in the art will appreciate that one or more of the described elements may well
15 be combined into a single functional element. Alternatively, certain elements may be
split into multiple functional elements. Elements from one embodiment may be added
to another embodiment. For example, orders of processes described herein may be
changed and are not limited to the manner described herein. Moreover, the actions of
any flow diagram need not be implemented in the order shown; nor do all the acts
20 necessarily need to be performed. Also, those acts that are not dependent on other
acts may be performed in parallel with the other acts. The scope of the embodiments
is by no means limited by these specific examples. Numerous variations, whether
explicitly given in the specification or not, such as differences in structure,
dimension, and use of material, are possible.
