WE CLAIM:
1. A method for facilitating replenishment of one or more commodities present in one or
more containers, the method comprising:
configuring, by a processor (202), each compartment, of a shelf communicatively coupled with a backend server, with a commodity and metadata, wherein each compartment is configured by mapping a compartment with a commodity to be contained in a container present on the compartment;
comparing, by the processor (202), quantity of the commodity, present in each container on each compartment, with the metadata configured corresponding to the compartment; and
triggering, by the processor (202), a request indicating replenishment of one or more commodities contained in one or more containers present on one or more compartments of the shelf, wherein the request is triggered when the quantity pertaining to the one or more commodities, contained in the one or more containers, is less than or equal to the metadata, and wherein the one or more commodities are replenished in the one or more containers present on the one or more compartments by,
identifying the one or more compartments having the one or more
commodities, contained in the one or more container, equal to or less than the
metadata, and
enabling the backend server to add the request onto a shopping list associated
to a collaboration group of users in order to replenish the one or more commodities
present on the one or more compartments.
2. The method as claimed in claim 1, wherein the commodity is mapped with the compartment upon referring to a centralized back end server catalog.
3. The method as claimed in claim 1, wherein the metadata comprises a predefined threshold limit associated to the commodity.
4. The method as claimed in claim 1, wherein the quantity of the commodity is compared with the predefined threshold limit by using a measuring unit coupled with each compartment, and wherein the measuring unit measures the quantity based on a weighing sensor.

5. The method as claimed in claim 1, wherein the backend server adds the request onto
the shopping list of the collaboration group of users by
determining a Device Identification (ID) associated to the shelf having a plurality of compartments, and
determining a container present on each compartment, from the plurality of compartments of the shelf, that need to replenished with a commodity corresponding to each compartment.
6. A replenishment system (102) for facilitating replenishment of one or more
commodities present in one or more containers, the replenishment system (102) comprising:
a processor (202); and
a memory (206) coupled to the processor (202), wherein the processor (202) is capable of executing a plurality of modules stored in the memory (206), and wherein the plurality of modules comprising:
a compartment configuring module (212) for configuring each compartment, of a shelf communicatively coupled with a backend server, with a commodity and metadata, wherein each compartment is configured by mapping a compartment with a commodity to be contained in a container present on the compartment;
a comparator module (214) for comparing quantity of the commodity, present in each container on each compartment, with the metadata configured corresponding to the compartment; and
a replenishment module (216) for triggering a request indicating replenishment of one or more commodities contained in one or more containers present on one or more compartments of the shelf, wherein the request is triggered when the quantity pertaining to the one or more commodities, contained in the one or more containers, is less than or equal to the metadata, and wherein the one or more commodities are replenished in the one or more containers present on the one or more compartments by identifying the one or more compartments having the one or more commodities, contained in the one or more container, less than the metadata and enabling the backend server to add the request onto a shopping list associated to a collaboration group of users in order to replenish the one or more commodities present on the one or more compartments.

7. The replenishment system (102) as claimed in claim 6, wherein the metadata comprises a predefined threshold limit associated to the commodity.
8. The replenishment system (102) as claimed in claim 6, wherein the quantity of the commodity is compared with the predefined threshold limit by using a measuring unit coupled with each compartment, and wherein the measuring unit measures the quantity based on a weighing sensor.
9. The replenishment system (102) as claimed in claim 6, wherein the backend server
adds the request onto the shopping list of the collaboration group of users by
determining a Device Identification (ID) associated to the shelf having a plurality of compartments, and
determining a container present on each compartment, from the plurality of compartments of the shelf, that need to replenished with a commodity corresponding to each compartment.
10. A non-transitory computer readable medium embodying a program executable in a
computing device for facilitating replenishment of one or more commodities present in one or
more containers, the program comprising:
a program code for configuring each compartment, of a shelf communicatively coupled with a backend server, with a commodity and metadata, wherein each compartment is configured by mapping a compartment with a commodity to be contained in a container present on the compartment;
a program code for comparing quantity of the commodity, present in each container on each compartment, with the metadata configured corresponding to the compartment; and
a program code for triggering a request indicating replenishment of one or more commodities contained in one or more containers present on one or more compartments of the shelf, wherein the request is triggered when the quantity pertaining to the one or more commodities, contained in the one or more containers, is less than or equal to the metadata, and wherein the one or more commodities are replenished in the one or more containers present on the one or more compartments by,
identifying the one or more compartments having the one or more
commodities, contained in the one or more container, less than the metadata, and

enabling the backend server to add the request onto a shopping list associated to a collaboration group of users in order to replenish the one or more commodities present on the one or more compartments.
