FIELD OF INVENTION:
[0011 The present invention relates to the field of watch hand. The present invention
in particular relates to a system and method for providing hi-finish wAtch hAnds.
DESCRIPTION OF THE RELATED ART:
5 [002] At present, the appearance of watch hands on the market is relatively simple;
usually the effect of the entire watch hand is bright. The appearance of the watch
hands surface is a very direct sensory perception for consumers to feel the watch,
and it is very necessary for the unique design of the needle surface.
(003] The effect of conventional hands is far from satisfying the needs of consumers
I 0 who are pursuing the appearance of novel and unique watches.
[004] Reference may be made to the following:
[005] Publication No. CN II 0568745 relates to the watch hand comprises a watch

of the surface of the watch hand; when manufacturing the embroidery bright face,
the embroidery machine is used for treating the other side without the embroidery
process after accomplishing the sand-blasted matt face, so that the hand face at this
side becomes bright. The watch hand disclosed by the invention is unique in
appearance effect, the semi-matted and semi-bright needle face effect is unusual,
and well-bedded.

[006] Publication No. JP2010223891 relates to a method of manufacturing the
pointer for a timepiece having a cubic massive feeling of a curved surface shell
round shape combined with high-class texture, and also possessing high visibility.
The method of manufacturing the pointer for Lhe timepiece is adopted, consisting
5 of the first step of implementing continuous press working of a flat metal strip
material followed by forming a sheath hole, bleaching out an outer shape, and
finally producing a flat pointer blank, the second step of implementing polishing of
the top face of pointer blank with elastomer tools to round off and chamfer the
outline contour edge line of the pointer blank, and the third step of forming a coated
I 0 top layer with plating and coating of the surface of pointer blank.

metallic luster and full of color variety by subjecting a metallic hoop to required
machining and then to ornamental plating, forming a colored electrodeposited resin
layer on both sides of the above onelectively only on the top of the above, baking
15 this resin layer, and then carrying out finish blanking into a hand shape.
Constitution: Machining, such as surface pressing, pipe forming, and, pipe
caulking, is applied to a hoop of brass, nickel silver, etc., having a hand finish
blanking positioning guide hole and a center hole. Subsequently, an ornamental
plating layer of Au, Ni, etc., is formed on the above and a colored electrodeposited
20 resin layer of blue, brown, green, etc., is fwther formed on both sides or selectively
on the top alone, and then, the above stock is baked and subjected to finish blanking
into a stand shape through the above guide hole, by which the colored hand for
watch is manufactured. By this method, the above hang having metallic luster and
full of color variety can be obtained.

metal layer can be easily formed into a desired pattern or be provided with a surface
finish to provide an attractive appearance. The hand may thus be as thin as 30-50
microns and may for example be of nickel or stainless steel clad with gold or copper.
The hands are blanked from a continuous strip using a diamond- tipped tool..

[024] The present invention relates to a system.and method for providing bi-finish
watch hands. The hand has lacquer and plating in a single piece of watch hands.
Half of the portion of hands with one finish & other half portion with different
finish. In present process does not removes the blanked profile (Hands) from Strip.
5 It fixes the blanked hands return to Strip (Raw material) and that strip directly
feeding to machine. After one side diamond cutting is done it goes to the Lacquering
coating process. Then again it come to the diamond cutting process, in diamond
cutting process another side removed. Then finally the required "Bi-finish" hands
are prepared.
I 0 [025] The system comprises diamond cutting machine consists of Base I, vertical
column 2, table 3, pneumatic strip feeder 4, strip holding bed 5 and 2 spindles 6.
Base I gives support and rigidity to the machine and also acts as a reservoir for the
cutting fluids.
[026] The brass strip is fed by a coiler, which holds the coil of strip which is needed
15 to be diamond cut. The strip is then passed through the strip holding bed which is
mounted on the machine table and the strip exits through the pneumatic strip feeder.
20
25
[027] In Angle cut two spindles are stimulatingly used for the cutting operation. The
diamond cutting tools will be mounted on both spindles. The spindles are tilted to a
certain angle based on the requirement. The cutting action takes place on the both
side of the strip thus forming an angular shape. But in this Bi-finish Process only
one spindle will be performed.
[028] Numerous modifications and adaptations of the system of the present
invention will be apparent to those skilled in the art, and thus it is in.tended by
the appended claims to cover all such modifications and adaptations which fall
within the true spirit and scope of this invention.
