The extracted objects correspond to successive pixels having a value higher than a grey level. A lighting mode of a headlight of the vehicle is determined with respect to the selected objects corresponding to the lighting objects, and proper parameter e.g. flywheel angle and speed, of the vehicle. An independent claim is also included for a device for adjusting lighting of a headlight for a motor vehicle, comprising a control unit.
[006] Publication No. FR2936194 relates to the method involves determining lighted zones during night through lighting objects e.g. standing lamps, by determining a region of interest in an image acquired by a video camera of a motor vehicle and by measuring a lighting degree in the region of interest. A lighting mode of a headlight of the motor vehicle is determined with respect to the lighting degree. The measurement of the lighting degree is carried out based on criterion of luminance amplitude in the region of interest, where the amplitude is calculated based on an average value of a value of pixels of the region of interest. An independent claim is also included for a device for adjusting lighting of a headlight for a motor vehicle, comprising a control unit.
[007] Publication No. EP1504957 relates to a control system to control the brightness of headlamps of a vehicle comprising: an image array sensor including a matrix of pixels, and an imaging system configured to image the scene forward of the controlled vehicle onto said image array sensor, wherein said image array sensor contains additional rows and columns of pixels to compensate for imperfections in aiming the imaging system relative to the controlled vehicle, and wherein the image array sensor is aimed through a portion of the controlled vehicle windshield cleaned by a windshield wiper.
