Abstract: ABSTRACT A SYSTEM AND METHOD OF INFORMATION RETRIEVAL Embodiments of the present invention relates to a system and method of information retrieval. Embodiments further encompasses an information retrieval method based on domain ontology and graph based indexing, the method comprising steps of: inputting a search query by a user; reading a graph index from an OWL database; expanding the search query based on the reading of the graph index; selecting the at least one algorithm based on the expanded search query; executing the at least one selected algorithm for extracting at least one content from a content store; calculating a relevancy score based on execution of the at least one selected algorithm; sorting and exhibiting a set of results based on the relevancy score; and fetching the at least one content from the content store.
