Abstract: The present invention relates to a system for adjustment of rack and pinion type steering gear box comprising suspension frame sub assembly mounted with steering gear box having a rack damper screw with a stepped configuration and an octagon nut, which are adjusted by means of respective tool. Further this invention relates to a lock nut wrench comprising a head (1) and a tail with a handle therebetween constituting a single structure wherein the head (1) comprises a double decked flat structure with arc shape, which is open in one side. Specification

Claims:We claim:
1. A lock nut wrench for adjustment of rack and pinion type steering gear box comprising:
a head (1) and a tail (2) with a handle (2) therebetween constituting a single structure,
characterized in that
the head (1) comprises a double decked flat structure with arc shape, which is open in one side, the double decked structure comprising a lower deck (D1) mounted with an upper deck (D2) located at a radius (R2) more than radius (R1) of the lower deck (D1).

2. The lock nut wrench as claimed in claim 1, wherein inner peripheral surface of the lower deck (D1) is smooth and inner peripheral surface of the upper deck (D2) is saw toothed.

3. The lock nut wrench as claimed in claim 2, wherein the sawtoothed surface with multitude of saw teeth is provided for angle of rotation in the range of 22.5-45.

4. The lock nut wrench as claimed in claim 1, wherein the tail (2) constitutes preferably a square flat member with a hole (H) at the centre for fitment of torque wrench.

5. The lock nut wrench as claimed in claim 1, wherein the handle (1) is a longitudinal flat member covered by sleeve and an angular transition (E) is provided from the handle to the head (1) so as to facilitate insertion of tool through a slot (T) of a suspension frame.
