Abstract: An automatic operation and monitoring system of battery chargers in EHV/HV substation has been developed to operate from a remote place in multi-modes of charging as float/boost/auto/manual through commands from a mobile hand-set, wherein at each mode both digital and analog input parameters would change. The invention aims at combining battery chargers, which are solely electrical device with GSM technology in hybrid engineering by way of rotating potentiometers (8) with SERVO motor (7) from a mobile SMS command, and user can have the status of DC system for a particular station at any given time by sending an SMS command. The GSM module (1) does the job of remote communication via 2G SIM card powered by 12 V 2 Amps SMPS (5) connected through ARDUINO MEGA 2560 board (2)
