A System For Cofiring Biomass With Coal In Thermal Power Plants And A Process Thereof

Abstract: The present subject matter discloses a system for co-firing biomass with coal as fuels in thermal power plants based on tube and ball mills appended with the existing power plants. The system comprising a plurality of crushed coal bunkers (2, 3, 4, 5), plurality of coal feeders (6, 7, 8, 9) connected to bottom of bunkers (2,3,4,5), plurality of coal mills (10,11,12,13), a duct connected to the coal mills (10, 11, 12, 13) for supplying hot air, plurality of pulverized coal pipes (14, 15, 16, 17), a burner (18), a furnace (19), a mixing system (24) for mixing biomass with crushed coal to produce mixed raw fuel, a mixed raw fuel bunker (25), a mixed raw fuel feeder (26) and a mill (27).
