Abstract: Accordingly, a system for patent evaluation which will choose correct parameters for evaluation of patent is disclosed. A system for patent evaluation using artificial intelligence comprising of; A computer/desktop/laptop for evaluating a patent document; A data input means for receiving data with respect to patents , showing quality of the patent and monetary value of patent; A computer processor for analyzing the patent data ; and A quality checking unit for determining quality of the patent document for generating a conclusion regarding the quality of the patent document ; Wherein the data input means or data storage means such as internal database of the website for receiving data with respect to patents.
Claims:We claim:
1) A system for patent evaluation using artificial intelligence comprising of;
a. A computer/desktop/laptop for evaluating a patent document;
b. A data input means for receiving data with respect to patents , showing quality of the patent and monetary value of patent;
c. A computer processor for analyzing the patent data ; and
d. A quality checking unit for determining quality of the patent document for generating a conclusion regarding the quality of the patent document.
Wherein the data input means or data storage means such as internal database of the website for receiving data with respect to patents.
2) The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the said the quality checking unit comprises computer readable instructions, for execution by the processor, for generating the decision value.
3) The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the said quality of the patents is analyzed on the basis of technical merit, commercial value and legal strength of the patent document.
4)The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the said quality of the patent document is determined on the basis of assigning a color to the quality of the patent document, which is the same as the color of the sub-space of the patent document.
5) The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the said analyzing unit analyzes the values of the patent.
6) The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the said parameter for analyzing patent document has some numerical value.
, Description:FIELD OF THE INVENTION:
The invention relates to evaluation of patent documents. The present invention more particularly relates to a system for patent evaluation using artificial intelligence.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION:
Patents are important in industrial progress and provides information about innovations to the society. As the number of patent applications are increasing day by day, the need for licensing and cross-licensing is increased involved in infringement and/or validity studies, used in advanced research and development programs, reached the stage of manufacturing, taken into account in mergers, acquisitions and venture capital financing. In all of the above-mentioned activities, there is an urgent need for accurate and consistent evaluation of the patents involved.
Usually, patent evaluations are based solely on opinions of experts in certain technology areas, and enhanced by second opinions provided by lawyers, accountants or other professionals. The evaluation of the same patent vary significantly depending on qualifications of the experts and their own evaluation criteria. Experts' opinions may be biased, and since different experts may have different levels of bias, the consistency of patent evaluation may suffer to the point of rendering the evaluation project nearly useless. Clearly, such an approach is not practical for evaluating patent documents, especially when large quantities of patents are involved.
A few methods of patents evaluation have been proposed recently. All of them are based on the idea of collecting suitable information about a patent under evaluation and transforming it into a monetary value of the patent. This idea is too broad to be directly applied to the patent evaluation without providing further details, which is not an easy task to do. One of the problems is that amount of information that can be collected about an average patent is large. It is not unusual to come across a patent of 200 pages long with dozens of claims. It is not immediately clear how many parameters are required to properly characterize a patent, and what those parameters are. However, the choice of parameters has a profound effect on the validity and quality of the patent evaluation. The improper choice of patent parameters may render the method of evaluation useless at best and disastrous at worst, especially if substantial amount of money is involved. Another problem is that there is no shortage of variants to transform the chosen parameters into a monetary value of a patent. Different combinations typically yield different monetary values of the patent, and it is not immediately clear which combination represents a true value or close to it. However, there is no doubt that an improper, combination of the chosen parameters may result in disastrous consequences as far as money are concerned.
Unfortunately, most of the proposed methods of patent evaluation fail at the very beginning of the evaluation process when deciding on a set of parameters to characterize a patent. Certainly, it is not easy to choose a correct choice of evaluation parameters, however, throwing into the mix everything that we can get, apparently with little or no consideration given to the parameter's relevancy, is not likely to produce a trustworthy evaluation.
So there is a need for a system for patent evaluation which will choose correct parameters for evaluation of patent. The present invention is a system for evaluating patent using artificial intelligence.

Yet another object of the invention is make evaluation based on shortage of variants for transforming the chosen parameters into monetary value of a patent.

The present invention is a system for patent evaluation using artificial intelligence which will choose correct parameters for evaluation of patent. The present invention makes evaluation based on shortage of variants for transforming the chosen parameters into monetary value of a patent.
In one embodiment, a system for patent evaluation using artificial intelligence comprising of;
a. A computer/desktop/laptop for evaluating a patent document;
b. A data input means for receiving data with respect to patents , showing quality of the patent and monetary value of patent;
c. A LAN/WAN network such as internet;
d. A computer processor for analyzing the patent data ; and
e. A quality checking unit for determining quality of the patent document for generating a conclusion regarding the quality of the patent document.
Wherein the data input means or data storage means such as internal database of the website for receiving data with respect to patents.
In another embodiment, a system for patent evaluation using artificial intelligence comprising; displaying numerical values of patents to the user followed by generating conclusion followed by associated reason with respect to the numerical value of the patent as determined by the data input or data storage means. The analyzing unit analyzes the values of the patent.
In another embodiment, comprises introducing one, two or three patent including technical merit, commercial value and legal strength of the patent document. Visualizing the quality of the patent document, comprising: assigning a color to the quality of the patent document, which is the same as the color of the sub-space of the patent document. Different colors are assigned to different assigning different colors to different said sub-spaces wherein values of the components of the color model are equal to the respective values of patent indices.
In another embodiment, a conclusion is generated regarding a monetary value of the patent document. Each parameter for analyzing patent document has some numerical value.
In another embodiment, the quality checking unit comprises computer readable instructions, for execution by the processor, for generating the decision value. The system is accessible through LAN OR WAN network such as internet or intranet.
