DESC:TITLE: “A SYSTEM FOR INDICATING LOW FILLER MATERIAL DENSITY IN A CORED WIRE”
ABSTRACT
The present disclosure discloses a system (100) for indicating low filler material (8) density in a cored wire (1). The system (100) includes primary rollers (3, 4) positioned adjacent to each other 5 and adapted to receive the cored wire (1) for subjecting compressive forces. Secondary rollers (2) are positioned adjacent to the primary rollers (3, 4) and are adapted to rotate upon contact with the cored wire (1). Further, a sensor (6) is positioned proximal to the secondary rollers (2) and is configured to determine an idle condition of the secondary rollers (2) in response to deformation (9) of the cored wire (1), to indicate low filler material (8) density in the cored wire (1). The 10 configuration of the system (100) facilitates identification of low density or underfilling of filler material (8) within the cored wire (1) and aid in maintaining quality of the cored wire (1) being manufactured.
