The present invention relates to a system of c-Pad (College Pad) and methods thereof.
Background of the invention
The most important and crucial resource for any student and teacher is their time. This
application mainly focuses on how to solve the problem of time killing routine activities
for a student and teacher. Like conventionally marking class attendance for a teacher
wipe out 2 to 5% of the lecture time, further working on these attendance records and
assessing detain list, publishing it on Notice board, floating news, updates and notices
among students and other staff members, direct communication with individual student
and teacher for some specific reasons, finding the timetable sheet, looking for the
current whereabouts of a student and a teacher. And for the students to keep
themselves update from every college news, events, exams, results etc. through
conventional means like notice board, class announcement etc. becomes very tiring
process, especially when they have to visit far college corners and gather all this
information. So this mobile application considers all these problems and put their every
single solution in the hands of students and teachers via mobile phone.

discloses a college student record evaluation inquiring system, is based on studying
and life practical conditions of college students, and conveniently records the daily
performance of the college students through a plate removing mode, a manager writes
information to accomplish light-on type convenient auditing, evaluation is automatically
accomplished, and an inquiring user can inquire the daily performance of college
students in college through the system. The system realizes the contact among a
system object, the manager and the inquiring user, strengthens the relation between
teachers and students through plate hanging, plate removing and auditing processes,
supervises and urges students to be motivated through student record, establishes the
contact between parents and the college through parent user inquiring, and enhances
the communication between employers and the college through employer inquiring. The
system is implemented for 8 years in storage and transportation and architectural

the employment of the students, so that the employment rate of the institute exceeds 90

US 20140074740; 13609059; Robert Edwin Phillips discloses Methods and systems
for providing career advice to a college student are disclosed. In some embodiments,
the method may include receiving one or more user vocational interests of the college
student and generating a user interest vector based on the one or more user vocational
interests. The method may include receiving vocational interests of college affiliates,
data regarding events, or data regarding job opportunities. The method may include
assigning resource vocational interests to college affiliates, events, or job opportunities.

events, or job opportunities wherein each resource interest vector is based on the

US 20060069576; 10951452; WALDORF GREGORY L discloses the method for a
prospective college student college search and recommendation system. The invention
is generally includes a method of receiving survey data gathered from a prospective
college student, analyzing the survey data for relationships between one or more
variables which correlate with actual college student satisfaction with their college
experience; and identifying one or more candidate colleges for the prospective college

student to consider by determining an association between the prospective college
student's survey data and candidate colleges.
CN 104463389; 201310420460.5 ; NANJING DAWU EDUCATION AND
TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD.; GAO RONG discloses a VB-based college student
dormitory information management system. The main working principles of the VBbased
college student dormitory information management system of the invention are
as follows: 1, according to the creation of main windows of the system, functions such
as the creation of project files, the design of the main windows and the design of main
menus are realized through Visual Basic 6.0, and algorithms of the Visual Basic are
researched according to actual needs, and the modules of the main windows are
connected with one another together orderly, so that a precise interface can be
presented; and 2, according to the design of a database, the Visual Basic 6.0 and
Access are required to be combined together, and relationships between a data source,
an access object and a data display object should be figured out, and the VB can be
directly connected into an Access table, and the link between the VB and the Access
table is the focus of a research on data information management, and the design of the
database can be simplified based on the functions of the VB.

Rachel discloses an Internet (web based) system adapted for enriching a user's college
experience by helping the user discover and keep informed of events, activities,
organizations (e.g., clubs), lectures, local businesses (i.e., merchant advertisements)
and other matters that may be of particular interest to the user based on a "user

interests profile" generated from personal data collected from the user. The system
provides a searchable and current directory of events, activities, organizations and other
matters of interest to students at a particular university. A notification feature provides
updates and reminders to each individual student member (user) through a medium(s)
that the user chooses (e.g., email, text messaging, RSS, calendar) to keep informed of
events and to suggest other events that might be of interest to the user. The system
further supports an advertising mechanism for delivering targeted advertisements of
local businesses to particular users based on their specific user interests profiles.
None of the prior art indicates above either alone or in combination with one another
disclose what the present invention has disclosed. "cPad" is a system for mobile
application for college students and teachers which unifies and brings every college
needs in their hand via mobile phones. It solves the routine time killing activities of
students and teacher. It consist the following features: reminders, take attendance,
college notifications, e-notice board, exams/results, chat, track students/teacher, find
records and many more.
Summary of the Invention
The present invention relates to a system of c-Pad (College Pad) and methods thereof.
"cPad" is a system for mobile application for college students and teachers which
unifies and brings every college needs in their hand via mobile phones. It solves the
routine time killing activities of students and teacher. It consist the following features:
reminders, take attendance, college notifications, e-notice board, exams/results, chat,
track students/teacher, find records and many more.

The present invention can be claimed in the following manner:
1. A system of c-Pad (College Pad) comprises a Microphone and a Fingerprint sensor
for searching for the current location of any teacher and student without calling and
texting them. 2. The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein said system Notifies teacher
and student in real-time about the current lecture, classroom and any change in the
class timetable adjustments. 3. The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein said system
provides "Take Student Attendance" tab for the teacher which smartly marks the class
attendance and synchronize it with the database and itself work on all struck off
mechanism and finally publishes the detain list at the end of every fortnight . 4. The
system as claimed in claim 1, wherein said system provides real-time attendance
updates as soon as the teacher marked it and Notifies about every message from the
higher authority. 5. The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein said system notifies
about every college event, all college inside and outside news through E-Notice teacher
and Student Board. 6. The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein said system Notifies
about exams venue, seating arrangement plans and results and broadcast particular
news, notices, assignment to specific class or all classes. Communicate through
personal chats with any student or any teacher. 7. The system as claimed in claim 1,
wherein said system Find the teacher teaching in which classroom and current class of
a student, he/she attending; and fetch records of any student and know every detail
about him/her.

Detailed description of the Invention
“c-Pad” (College Pad) will have hardware integration using mobile phone inbuilt and on
board features namely:
1) Microphone
2) Fingerprint sensor
The present invention provide the system for FIND TEACHER, FIND STUDENT and
FIND CLASS options. Thus using mobile’s speech recognition feature, the application
would be able to produce the same search with optimal results. Without typing the name
of teacher, friend or class, or finding them in any list, it would directly understand the
concerns by recognising it through speech. Besides searching, it would also be able to
perform other activities in the application.
Another mobile hardware feature can be the fingerprint sensors. Using this technology,
c-Pad would be able to mark attendance of the students and teachers through mobile
phone without using any Biometric fingerprint reader. Through this, the application
would become more reliable, student or faculty oriented and reduces dependability.
It has two modules, one for the college students and the other for the college teachers.
Following are the technical features and elements:
REMINDERS - Notifies teacher and student in real-time about the current lecture,
classroom and any change in the class timetable adjustments.
ATTENDANCE - Provides "Take Student Attendance" tab for the teacher which smartly
marks the class attendance and synchronize it with the database and itself work on all

struck off mechanism and finally publishes the detain list at the end of every fortnight (or
whenever required). And for students it provides with the real-time attendance updates
as soon as the teacher marked it.
NOTIFICATIONS - Notifies about every message from the higher authority like HoD,
Principal, Director or any other teacher.
E-NOTICE BOARD - Notifies about the every college event, all college inside and
outside news through E-Notice teacher and Student Board. Teachers and students can
compose their own notice, attach images and publish it on the Teacher or Student
notice board according to the viewers they want.
EXAMS/RESULTS - Notifies about sessional/academic exams venue, seating
arrangement plans and results.
CHAT - Broadcast particular news, notices, assignment to specific class or all classes.
Communicate through personal chats with any student or any teacher.
TRACK - Find the teacher teaching in which classroom and current class of a student,
he/she attending.
RECORD - Fetch records of any student and know every detail about him/her.
And many more features can be integrated by the time and according to the upcoming
problems and requirements.
The present invention has many features that are very crucial to the academics
perspective which will help students and teachers. As now they have to search for the

all college information and news but with this mobile application their search time would
be devoted to something useful activities.
One of such features is SEARCHING FOR THE CURRENT LOCATION OF ANY
TEACHER AND STUDENT without calling and texting them. It would help us by not
wasting time by looking for them here and there. Just open your phone and enter their
name and you’ll get, in which class the teacher is teaching or which lecture a student is
attending.
Not only this it will keep the check of every single news and notices from any teacher or
head of department or college administration, not via emails but in real time through
mobile notifications and will also keep you aware about your every college scheduled
activities.
