Best Method of working:
1: Frame of the Cart of Mild Steel (51-inch width x 81inch length x 30inch height): It is the Mild Steel structure designed to bear the load as well as acts as a support to various other parts which are to be mounted on it.
2: Round Poles of 2inch Diameter, Qty: 08 Nos.: These round poles are made up of solid Steel which act as boundary for the wood stocks that needs to be piled for the pyre. Moreover, during the combustion process it prevents the hot burning wood logs to fall out of the cart.
3: Mild steel support for the silica and fire brick bed: It lies below the Silica and Fire Brick Bed and support the bed to bear the load being placed over it. This metallic structure comprises of mild steel flats placed at a gap of 3 inches.
4: Silica and fire brick bed: During the combustion Process the temperatures of the flames can be as high as 1600?C and as most part of the structure is made up of mild steel its shielding from such high temperatures is required. Fire Brick and Silica being poor thermal conductors provides shield.to the mild steel structure. The bed is build up with holes/slots so as to support the natural circulation of air from the bottom of the pyre. These holes/slots after the combustion allows the remains to fall down on a collecting tray placed below the bed.
5: Ash collecting tray: It is a tray made out of Mild Steel sheet that rests on the frame of the cart and facilitates the cooling and collection of “Antyesti Remains” generally called “Phool” once the combustion process has finished.
6: Castor wheels with Braking System: The Castor wheels makes it possible to move the Antyesti Cart. In case of increased inflow of dead corpses, the wooden pyre and initial Antyesti rights as per traditions can be carried out and thus the waiting time for vacating of Antyesti site can be significantly reduced. To restrict the motion of cart during the Pyre build-up and combustion braking system is also provided.
7: Air Circulation System: It consists of two pipes each fitted with 5 nozzles at an inclination angle to Silica and fire brick bed. The nozzles supply the air to enhance the air speed resulting in fast combustion and achieving high temperatures during burning.
8: Attachment of Movable Antyesti cart with the Blower: It facilitates the Movable cart to be detached during the preparation phase of the Antyesti.
9: Underground Connection of Air Supply from Blower: The air blower can be connected to the attachment of Movable Antyesti cart through underground pipeline, the length of underground connection could may vary from 5m to 10m).
10: Air Blower and its Control systems: Air Blower and its control system is place 5m to 10m from the Antyesti site in order to avoid damage of the blower due to heat produced during the combustion process.
11: IOT System: It is in build with sensors (air quality, wood weight, Body weight and Power consumption), Microcontroller and Wi-Fi Modem with proper Power supply arrangement. Microcontroller senses the various parameters and create corresponding data packet to transfer those via Wi-Fi Modem to attached Mobile based Application, which consists of Instructions that process the data required to monitor its impact on environment.
The current invention utilizes approximately fifty percent less wood and the time required is also being reduced. The current setup is portable and the base is made up of Silica and Fire bricks which contain the fire and helps prevent the loss of heat.
Best Method of Working:
1. It is an Eco- friendly method of performing Antyesti or the funeral rites for the dead in Hinduism, which usually involves cremation of the body.
2. Complete sterilization is possible since the temperature using this cart can be raised to over 1600 ?C.
3. Less consumption of wood hence less expensive. Generally in traditional funeral pyre 300 to 400 kg of fire wood is required whereas using this cart the firewood quantity can be reduced to nearly half of the traditional method.
4. Time saving since it saves valuable resources like wood consumption & cow dung cakes, thereby saving the same in form of bio- fertilizers for organic farming. Thus saving the environment as well.
5. Being a movable cart, it becomes convenient to perform all cremation rituals
6. The ritual of kapalakriya, or the ritual of piercing the burning skull with a stave (bamboo fire poker) to make a hole or break it, in order to release the spirit, can be performed with ease.
7. It has been observed during the combustion process lower abdomen portion of the body is the last to combust due to presence of high amount of tissue mass and bones. In this invention high amount of air is circulated in this region for proper and speedy combustion, resulting in fewer requirements of woods.
8. All those who attend the cremation, are exposed to the dead body or cremation smoke, using this cart the cremation rituals can be performed in clean and less polluting manner.
9. Collection of ashes popularly known as ‘phool’ will be collected in a dignified manner using a tray beneath the cart. After cremation, the mourner will collect the ashes and consecrate it to a water body, such as a river.
