Abstract: A SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING AN AID FOR WOMEN ASSISTANCE AND GUIDANCE In the present invention, violence and crimes against women all over the world is on the rise. This violence and crimes against women is commonly refer to as “Offenses against Women” and demand a higher global crusade. These “Offenses against Women” include domestic violence, various kinds of abuse, harassment, trafficking etc. Many methods and systems have come up to monitor the safety and security of women against these kinds of offenses. However, because of lack of awareness of the rights, legislations and legal provisions, most of these offenses go unreported which further fuels the current situation of offenses against women.

US20140329491A1 This patent provides “ProtectEM”, a mobile application created to provide emergency (911) services to individuals in cases of domestic abuse, rape, kidnapping, sexual assaults, and any other form of un-provoked violence. The app can be downloaded from regular app stores to any mobile device, or can be embedded into wearable device/accessories like earrings, watches, necklaces, clothing, skin patches, or electronic tattoos etc., which can be easily activated in an emergency to alert emergency responders and would also beam the wearers' exact location so that responders can quickly get to the scene. The physical accessories can be configured to start taking pictures of the attacker and immediate surroundings, and/or to start recording audio. In case of missing persons, a friend, care-taker, or next-of-kin can remotely activate the accessory so as to assist in locating the individual quickly. This disclosure provides a mobile application named “Paramarsh” created to provide assistance and guidance to the victims of “offenses against women” by providing assistance to women in the form of search for the suitable legal provisions, based on keywords entered by the victim, under which the victimizer can be booked and also provides suggestions for the course of action to the victim. The application is trained by data sets of legal provisions such as Indian Penal Code sections. The application also helps the victim to search for the nearest police station, if required, based on the area entered by the victim.
2. US9762462B2 This patent provides an anti-bullying service platform which monitors interaction data between a source and a target from one or more applications. The service platform analyzes the interaction data to parse one or more indicators of a monitored conduct between the source and the target. The service platform then initiates at least one of (a) a recording of the interaction data; (b) a transmission of an alert message; and (c) a pushing of an anti-conduct application to a source device associated with the source, a target device associated with the target, or a combination thereof based on the monitored conduct, the one or more indicators, or a combination thereof. This disclosure instead of monitoring the interaction between the source and the target provides assistance and guidance to the target after the event has taken place in the form of awareness of the related legal provisions to the target, suggestions related to the course of action and location of the nearest police station for further action.
3. US8862092B2 This patent provides an emergency notification system which includes a mobile device application. The application, upon activation during an emergency, determines the GPS coordinates of the mobile device, records digital images over a period of time, sends a preset message from the mobile device to at least one recipient, preferably an emergency responder, and sends the GPS coordinates and the digital images. The coordinates and images may be sent to a remote server for storage and which can be accessed by the emergency provider. This disclosure, instead of being a real-time safety application, is an assistance and guidance app for the female victims of “offenses against women” which provides assistance in the form of awareness of the legal provisions concerned to the particular kind of offense, suggestions related to the course of action and location of the nearest police station for further action.
4. US8630820B2 This patent discloses methods and systems anticipating a potentially threatening or dangerous incident, and providing varying levels of response to a user. This invention provides varying levels of assistance to a user prior to, during, and after a threatening incident occurs. By providing assistance prior to a threatening incident occurring, the system may be able to thwart potential attacks, bodily harm, robberies, break-ins, and other criminal or dangerous activity. The assistance can be, for example, in the form of deterrents, alerting first responders to go to the scene, sending security personnel to the scene, remotely monitoring the scene, remotely interacting with the scene, providing information and advice to the user. This disclosure provides varying levels of assistance and guidance to a user after an offense has occurred. The assistance is in the form of search through a database of Indian legal provisions such as Indian Penal Code sections related to the concerned offense, suggestions related to the course of action and location of the nearest police station based on area entered by the user for further action.
5. US9270824B2 This patent provides a computer aided prioritization (CAP) system which may receive, from the emergency event reporter device, an emergency event; determine whether the emergency event indicates a higher priority emergency event to be handled by a computer aided dispatch (CAD) system or a lower priority emergency event to be handled automatically by a computer aided event module (CAEM); and selectively route the emergency event report to at least one of the CAD system and the CAEM according to the determination. This disclosure provides varying levels of assistance and guidance to a user after an offense has occurred. The assistance is in the form of search through a database of Indian legal provisions such as Indian Penal Code sections related to the concerned offense, suggestions related to the course of action and location of the nearest police station based on area entered by the user for further action.
6. US8862393B2 This patent presents a system consisting of wireless positioning or localization technology, wireless communications technology and sensor technology. The invention consists of a remote device that includes a sensor for determining or measuring a desired parameter, a receiver for receiving position data from the Global Positioning System (GPS) satellite system, a processor for determining whether or not alert conditions are present and a wireless transceiver for transmitting the measured parameter data and the position data to a central station, such as an application service provider (ASP). The ASP, in turn, may communicate the measured data, position data and notification of any alerts to an end user via an alert device. The system in the adjacent patent provides a safety system but this disclosure provides a mobile device application to provide assistance and guidance to the victims after the event has occurred.

US20160330601A1 The present invention presents system for managing public safety (or security in one or more situations of at least one of danger, untoward incident, accident, emergency, loss and death with one or more enhanced qualitative and quantitative features, such as minimal vulnerability, real-time notification ability and automatic evidence manageability, thereby facilitating timely prevention, Quick Response (QR) or (Just-In-Time or JIT) response, speedy trial, effective prosecution, easy enforceability and policing, and methods thereof in accordance with the principles of the present invention. Instead of managing public safety or security, this disclosure provides a mobile device application to provide assistance and guidance to the victims after the event has occurred in the form of search through a database of Indian legal provisions such as Indian Penal Code sections related to the concerned offense, suggestions related to the course of action and location of the nearest police station based on area entered by the user for further action.
8. US20110258200A1 This patent provides a system and method which includes hosting a social networking website for identifying persons having socially unacceptable behavior. Users of the social networking site are enabled to anonymously submit documentation regarding a person having socially unacceptable behavior. The documentation is stored in a database. Location specific reports regarding persons having socially unacceptable behavior are generated. Access to the documentation is enabled for making informed decisions regarding the person. Transmission of at least part of the documentation between the users, individuals, networks and to the government authorities is facilitated. Rebuttal of the documentation is enabled. Users are enabled to post responses to submitted documentation for viewing by all users. Communication between the users is enabled. A user is enabled to introduce a friend to multiple users. The adjacent patent provides a website for identifying persons having socially unacceptable behavior but this disclosure provides a mobile device application for helping the female victims to get aware of the Indian legal provisions for the kind of offense occurred and also to provide suggestions related to the correct course of action and nearby police station based on the area entered.
9. US9922537B2 This patent presents an invention which is a wearable, multi-sensory, personal safety and tracking device which predicts danger by sensing changes in voice, pulse, emotions, impact, motion of the wearer and the device state. In emergency situations, the device triggers SOS, alarm, electro shock, pepper spray and starts capturing images and audio recording for the safety of the wearer. This disclosure, instead of providing a safety and tracking device, provides an assistance and guidance application for the female victims of “offenses against women” which provides assistance in the form of awareness of the legal provisions concerned to the particular kind of offense, suggestions related to the course of action and location of the nearest police station for further action.
10. US7180415B2 This patent provides a safety/security system that includes a central control station and a plurality of remote stations suitable for installation in residential and business buildings. The central control station receives public emergency warnings, notifications and advisories and transmits alert messages to select remote stations based on geographic or other criteria. This disclosure, instead of providing a safety/security system, provides an assistance and guidance application for the female victims of “offenses against women” which provides assistance in the form of awareness of the legal provisions concerned to the particular kind of offense, suggestions related to the course of action and location of the nearest police station for further action.
11. JP2007305095A This patent provides a system for preventing molestation that emits light converged by a condenser lens through a reverse mask film with "SOS" characters printed with a highly directed red LED in high brightness as a light source, and the characters of "SOS" characters are configured so as to be displayed on a surface to be irradiated while light is blinkingly emitted by IC control when a switch is pressed down. This disclosure instead of preventing molestation provides a provides a mobile device application for helping the female victims to get aware of the Indian legal provisions for the kind of offense occurred and also to provide suggestions related to the correct course of action and nearby police station based on the area entered.
None of the prior art indicate above either alone or in combination with one another disclose what the present invention has disclosed. Present invention is A system of “paramarsh” app: an aid for women assistance and guidance

The current innovation assists women who have been victims of specific crimes that are diametrically opposed to women and are referred to as “Offenses Against Women”. These offences include acid attack, rape, abduction, sexual harassment, sexual assault, voyeurism, stalking, importation, molestation etc. Many times these offenses go unreported due to lack of awareness among women about their rights and sections of codes made to tackle these situations. This patent intends to provide assistance and guidance to the victims of “offenses against women” with the help of a mobile application named “Paramarsh”. The mobile application can be installed on mobile phones operating on any platform. Paramarsh consists of a database of all the Indian legal provisions including Indian Constitution, Indian Penal Code and Women-Specific Legislations to punish the culprits committing offences against women. The application helps women search for the suitable legal provisions, based on keywords entered by the victim, under which the victimizer can be booked and also provides suggestions for the course of action to the victim. The application is trained by data sets of legal provisions. The application also helps the victim to search for the nearest police station, if required, based on the area entered by the victim.

In the present scenario, violence and crimes against women all over the world is on the rise. These “Offenses against Women” include domestic violence, various kinds of abuse, harassment, trafficking etc. Many methods and systems have come up to monitor the safety and security of women against these kinds of offenses. However, because of lack of awareness of the rights, legislations and legal provisions, most of these offenses go unreported which further fuels the current situation of offenses against women.
To tackle this menace, the present innovation presents a mobile device-based application named “Paramarsh” consisting of the database of the Indian Constitution, Indian Penal Code and Women-Specific Legislations in order to aware women of these legal provisions and boost their morale to report such cases of offenses. The victim needs to input keywords related to the offense in the application and the application generates results related to the Constitutional rights being compromised, sections of Indian Penal Code and Women-Specific Legislations under which a case can be filed against the offender. The application is trained by data sets of legal provisions, which helps in the generation of precise and accurate results for the keywords entered. The application also provides suggestions to the victims related to the correct course of action. The application “Paramarsh” also features assistance in the form of location of nearby police station based on area input by the victim for further course of action.
BEST METHOD OF WORKING
Figure 1 depicts the flowchart of entire search process in the “Paramarsh” applications. The “Paramarsh” application consists of the following features in order to assist the victims:
1. Database: A database of Indian legal provisions for women including Indian Constitution, Indian Penal Code and Women-Specific Legislations.
2. Keyword Input Feature: The victim needs to start the mobile application (100) and input keywords related to the offense in the application keyword input area (101). After making a search in the database (102), the application generates results related to the Constitutional rights compromised, sections of Indian Penal Code and Women-Specific Legislations under which a case can be filed against the offender (103). In case of complete details of any one or all the results (104), the user needs click on that particular legal provisions provided in the suggestions (105). The application is trained by data sets of legal provisions thus helping in the generation of precise and accurate results for the keywords entered
3. Suggestions Feature: The application provides guidance by suggesting suitable course of action to be taken for that particular kind of offence for which the victim entered the keyword. In case of suggestions for proper course of action (106), the user needs to tap on the Suggestions tab (107).
4. Nearby Police Station: The application also features a Nearby Police Station option to enable the victim to search for nearby police station in order to help the victim, in case, she wants to file a case. In case of details of nearest police station (108), the user needs to enter area in the location drop-down menu to get details 109). Instead of asking the victim for current location access, the application provides a drop down in the form of area of the city and then provide the details of the nearby police station based on the area selected. This helps the victim to ease out insecurity, which would have been there in the user by sharing current location.
ADVANTAGES OF THE INVENTION
1. The present invention will provide a platform to the victims of “Offenses Against Women” to search for legal provisions as per the kind of offense undergone through.
2. The present invention will aware the women who have been victims of offenses against women about the legal provisions available and will motivate them to take suitable course of action as suggested by the mobile application.
3. The present invention will help in decreasing the number of unreported cases of “offenses against women” by boosting the morale of the victim.
4. The present invention will assist the victims in finding the nearest police station, if required, based on the area/location entered by the victim.
5. The present invention is trained by data sets of keywords and related legal provisions by machine learning thus helping the application give accurate results with increase in its usage.
CLAIMS:1. The system for providing an aid for women assistance and guidance, comprising a database and having steps of:
searching of keyword, inserted by victim;
Suggesting suitable cause of action;
Searching of location.
2. The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein, the database consisting of the Indian legal provisions for women including Indian Constitution, Indian Penal Code and Women-Specific Legislations.
3. The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein, the keyword input feature provides the results related to the Constitutional rights compromised, sections of Indian Penal Code and Women-Specific Legislations under which a case can be filed against the offender.
4. The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein, the suggestion feature provides guidance by suggesting suitable course of action to be taken for that particular kind of offence for which the victim entered the keyword.
5. The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein, the location searching feature provides the guidance to locate nearest police station, by entering location through drop down menu.
