BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0002] Two wheeler bikes, when parked under the sun get heated up to high temperatures, and becomes unbearably hot for the user to sit on the vehicle. The normally used black seat cover of the two wheeler also adds to the woes by absorbing the heat. The rider produces excessive sweat in the groin region, which cannot be wiped immediately and causing skin rashes and other related infections. The discomfort may compromise the safety of the rider due to poor concentration on riding, poor sitting position and may also lead to loss of passion to ride.
[0003] Some of the health issues contracted due to the upholstery heating are hemorrhoid, anal fissure, fistula, constipation, urinal tract infections, heat stroke and cramps, excessive perspiration, burning eyes, stomach ulcers, skin rashes and boils, head aches, palpitation, mental stress, disturbed sleep, miscarriage in women, low sperm count in men etc.
[0004] The prior arts US20060279113A1, US20050161193A1, US07/631667, and US09/860592 have tried to address this issue by techniques varying from using refrigerants, heat exchangers and ventilation. These technologies could be energy consuming and expensive, and sometimes impractical for use in a two wheeler due to the two wheeler being an uncovered open unit.
[0005] Based on the foregoing, it is believed that a need exists for an improved automobile upholstery cooling system which consumes less/no energy and which is economical and also practical for an uncovered open unit system like a two wheeler. A need also exists for an improved user experience and improved safety by negating health issues for the rider.

[0019] Fig. 1illustrates a schematic representation of the principle concept of cooling mechanism of a two wheeler upholstery. Fresh air from atmosphere will be compressed through a mini-air compressor 100 and then passed to vortex tube 110 tangentially. Where it will spin at the rate of 1000000 rpm and split into cold and hot air streams due to internally developed kinetic energy within the vortex spinning chamber 120. The cold air 130 from one end of vortex tube will be used to cool down the two wheeler seat and hot air 140 from the other end will be exhausted out.
[0020] FIG. 2 illustrates a schematic representation of the system diagram of of cooling mechanism of a two wheeler upholstery. Compressed Air 100, normally 80-100 PSIG (5.5 - 6.9 bar) is ejected tangentially through a generator into the vortex spin chamber 120. At up to 1,000,000 RPM, this air stream revolves toward the hot end where some escapes through the control valve. The remaining air, still spinning, is forced back through the center of this outer vortex. The inner stream gives off kinetic energy in the form of heat to the outer stream and exits the vortex tube as cold air (-400C) 130. The outer stream exits the opposite end as hot air (-1100C) 140. It has no moving parts.
[0021] For use in colder countries, the hot air 140 can be directed towards the upholstery, or the automobile wheeler body or to the body of the rider to warm them up.
[0022] The same cooling mechanism detailed above can also be developed to spray cold air towards the body of two wheeler riders to keep them cool during their ride in hot weather condition. So that they can be protected from heat waves. The heating mechanism can also be used to achieve warming up the two wheeler seats. Hot air stream from the Vortex tube can be used to warm the two wheeler seats. Heating mechanism will be very useful to warm / to keep warm the riders during the winter season especially at winter states /countries.
[0023] For instant cooling/heating the seat cooler will only run for 20~30 seconds to cool down/heat up the seat immediately before starting a ride from an openly parked vehicle. For continuous cooling/heating, the seat cooler will run continuously to cool/heat the two wheeler seat until the entire ride. This mode will provide a very comfort ride to riders during the hot /cold weather condition.
[0024] The process proposed herein is an exemplary demonstration of working of the proposed concept of a mechanism to cool/heat a two wheeler upholstery in a cost effective way. The standards and operating protocol the same can be standardized and adapted by a person skilled in the art to achieve the same or enhanced performance.
[0025] It will be appreciated that variations of the above-disclosed and other features and functions, or alternatives thereof, may be desirably combined into many other different systems or applications. Also that various presently unforeseen or unanticipated alternatives, modifications, variations or improvements therein may be subsequently made by those skilled in the art which are also intended to be encompassed by the following claims.
