A Tackle For Handling A Ladle

Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a tackle (100) for handling a ladle (200). The tackle (100) comprises a horizontal beam (1), a pair of arms (2a, 2b) and a pair of connectors (3a, 3b). The pair of arms (2a, 2b) is disposed in a slot (1a) and extend downwardly in a direction perpendicular to the horizontal beam (1). The pair of arms (2a, 2b) is configured to support at least a portion of the ladle (200). The pair of connectors (3a, 3b) extend upwardly from the horizontal beam (1). The tackle (100) is receivable by a J-hook (301) of a crane (300) through the pair of connectors (3a, 3b). With such configuration, the tackle (100) may increase convenience and safety while handling the ladle (200). Further, the tackle (100) may reduce or eliminate need for lifting lugs, improve material handling and further reduce maintenance cost involved with slings.
