Description:A TAIL LAMP ASSEMBLY FOR A VEHICLE
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The present subject matter is related, in general to a vehicle, and more particularly, but not exclusively to a tail lamp assembly for a two wheeled vehicle.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0002] Typically, a vehicle includes a tail lamp assembly disposed at a rear portion of the vehicle. The tail lamp assembly includes a tail lamp housing which encompasses a tail lamp. Typically, the tail lamp is mounted to the tail lamp housing, and further the tail lamp housing is mounted to a frame assembly of the vehicle. Usually the tail lamps are bigger and heavier, due to which usually metal brackets are used for mounting of the tail lamps. Moreover, the vehicle includes a left and right tail lamp body panels to cover the side portion of the tail lamp assembly, and the frame assembly of the vehicle. However, over a period of usage of the vehicle, the left and right tail lamp covers which extends from the left side and the right side of the vehicle tends to loosen up creating a see through gap between the tail lamp and the left and right tail lamp body panels. This eventually leads to accumulation of dust, water, or any other foreign particles inside the tail lamp housing. The tail lamp being an electrical part, it is sensitive to the foreign particles which eventually degrades the performance, durability of the tail lamp.
[0003] Further, using left and right tail lamp body panels to cover a portion of a bigger size tail lamps increases the number of parts of the vehicle. Moreover, such a tail lamp body panels cannot be used for a vehicle having a sleek tail lamp due to the tail lamp’s compact size and profile.
[0004] Furthermore, mounting of the tail lamp to the tail lamp housing poses a challenge of accessibility and servicing. In case of servicing the tail lamp, the tail lamp housing is to be disassembled, which is a cumbersome and a lengthy process. Also, the vehicle having a retro classic architecture, the frame assembly of such vehicle is exposed at the rear side portions. Thus, mounting of the left and right tail lamp body panels is not feasible as this would cover a substantial portion of the frame assembly which would eventually hamper the layout or architecture of such vehicles.
[0005] Further limitations and disadvantages of conventional and traditional approaches will become apparent to one of skill in the art, through comparison of described systems with some aspects of the present disclosure, as set forth in the remainder of the present application and with reference to the drawings.

[00032] The tail lamp bracket (302) is a bracket which is configured to mount the tail lamp (106) directly to the pair of seat rails (114) through one or more of mounting means (306, 306A). Further, the tail lamp bracket (302) is configured to mount the tail lamp cover (108) through the same one or more of mounting means (306, 306A). More particularly, a first mounting means (306) is configured to mounted the tail lamp cover (108) and the tail lamp (106) through the second mounting provisions (412) and the fourth mounting provisions (414). Similarly, a second mounting means (306A) tail lamp cover (108) and the tail lamp (106) through first mounting provisions (410) and third mounting provisions (108A). As per an aspect of the present invention the tail lamp bracket (302) is sandwichly mounted between the tail lamp (106) and the tail lamp cover (108).
[00033] As per an aspect of the present invention, the tail lamp assembly (100) is mounted to the to the tail lamp bracket (302) through one or more rubber cushions (308). The one or more one or more rubber cushions (308) eliminates transfer of road and engine induced vibration, to the tail lamp (106) there by prevents premature failure of tail lamp (106). The tail lamp cover (108) includes an opening (406) at the rear portion. The opening (406) enables to expose the lens portion of the tail lamp (106). The tail lamp cover (108) comprises a first side (402), a second side (404), and a centre portion (405). The centre portion (405) is disposed on a top portion of the tail lamp cover (108) between the first side (402), and the second side (404). The tail lamp cover (108) extends longitudinally from left side to a right side of the vehicle at the rear portion of the vehicle. The centre portion (405) covers a top portion of the tail lamp assembly (100) and the first side (402), and the second side (404) covers the side portions of the tail lamp assembly (100).
[00034] The present invention advantageously provides a tail lamp assembly for a vehicle which is simple and does not require complex parts. Further, the present invention eliminates a need of a dedicated tail lamp housing for mounting a tail lamp to the vehicle thus, the number of parts, and complexity of serviceability, accessibility of the tail lamp is eliminated. The present invention eliminates tail lamp body panels which extends from the side portion of the vehicle, thus significantly reduces the number of parts, weight of the vehicle, and complexity of manufacturing. Also, the chances of seepage of light and entry of foreign particles, and water which is caused due to loosening of the tail lamp body panels has been prohibited thus increasing durability, efficiency of the tail lamp.
[00035] Moreover, the present invention uses a single tail lamp bracket to mount the tail lamp as well as the tail lamp cover, this eliminates requirement of dedicated bosses or fasteners for mounting the tail lamp to and a tail lamp cover to the vehicle which eventually reduces the weight of the vehicle. The present invention claims that the tail lamp cover is configured to cover the tail lamp to expose a lens portion of the tail lamp at a rear portion of the vehicle. This efficiently covers the internal parts of the tail lamp, and the tail lamp cover is configured to expose the lens portion of the tail lamp for optimum visibility to other vehicle and preventing leakage of lights of the tail lamp.
[00036] The present invention claims that the tail lamp and the tail lamp cover is mounted to the tail lamp bracket through one or more rubber cushions to efficiently prevent transmission of vibration or shock to the tail lamp through the road or engine, thus preventing premature failure of the tail lamp.
[00037] In light of the above mentioned advantages and the technical advancements provided by the disclosed method and system, the claimed steps as discussed above are not routine, conventional, or well understood in the art, as the claimed steps enable the following solutions to the existing problems in conventional technologies. Further, the claimed steps clearly bring an improvement in the functioning of the guard assembly itself as the claimed steps and constructional features provide a technical solution to a technical problem.
