FIELD OF INVENTION:
The present invention relates to, air cooler. The present invention
more particularly relates to a tank cover for air cooler to protect
the tank from dust and insects,
BACKGROUND AND !PRIOR ART:
'The absence of Tank Cover in an air cooler has a major impact an
I the life and performance of Air Cooler. It leads to accumulation of
dust on the live parts such as pump thus decreasing the efficiency
of pump and overalj cooling. Dust particles could stick to the
impeller of the pu&p, thereby choking blades thereof. It also
affects the volume of water lifted by the pump. This leads to rise in
temperature 'of the pump owing to which it could get damaged.
Also the pump reqGires to be serviced again and again, which
leads to high maintenance cost. Also the tank water gets polluted
due to which the air received from the cooler no longer remains
fresh and hygienic. &st also gets accumulated at the bottom of
Tank thus polluting !-the water. This polluted water becomes a
breeding ground for :mosquitoes thus resulting in life threatening
diseases like Dengue'and Malaria. Insects also can easily enter the
air cooler through louvers and cooling pads, which come in contact
with the tank water. -Efforts have been made to protect the cooler
tank from dust and insects. Now, reference may be made to the

. room air passes through the back inlet, enters the channel, and
mixes with water spnay formed by falling water (from water spray
ring) falling on rotating blades, gets cooled and blown front.

mosquito-proof water compsrtrnent and shutter(3) assembly
designed to prevent breeding and/or hovering of mosquitoes in and
around the cooler. The mosquito-proof closed water compartment
includes an inlet for water, outlet for water overflow, a two-piece lid
as the cover of the :reservoir/compartment, three mesh covered

minimizing dust and :which restricts insects from entering the tank
while the cooler is notjoperating. A net filter is provided within the
second tank cover t&control the flow of water going inside the I
tank.
For personal cooler, a single tank cover containing a lid is fully
provided over the tank. It prevents tank water from getting polluted I
thus resulting in fresh air. Hence, it maintains hygiene inside the I
tank. It also prevents water from spilling on the fan motor and I
swing motor which c&ld affect its performance.

DETAIL DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION WITH REFERENCE
TO THE ACCOMPA&NG DRAWINGS
The .instant invention imparts teaching in respect of a tank cover
for air cooler in order to protect the tank from dust and insects.
The tank cover fully covers the tank top to protect the tank water
from .dust and' insects.'
Now, reference may be made to fig. 1, 2 and 3 in which the tank
cover includes two parts, namely first tank cover (1) and second
. . .. . tank cover .(2).
The first tank cover:: (1) comprises an elongated panel with a
plurality of slots (3) &d holes (4). Here the slots are provided for
inflow of water from Gooling pad into water tank (W).
The provision of holes is made to accommodate water pipe for
inflow and out flow of-water from said water tank (W).
The second tank cover (2) comprises an elongated panel with a
filter (F) there within as shorn. The filter constitutes a net filter (F)
which acts as an inlet for inflow of water inside the tank in. order to
cont.&b the flow of wntcr going irlside the tank. While covering the
tank with the cover, firstly second tank cover (2) is placed followed
by insertion ul first tank cover (1). The first tank, cover (I) overlaps
'over the second tank cover (2) at the joinery thcreof.
Thus, both the tank covers (1, 2) are joined to each other through .
overlapping. ~ v e n t u a l l ~th, e tank covers are fastened to the
periphery of the tank of cooler body.
The fastening can be carried out by any means such as screws
without restricting scbpe of the invention to the same.
., .
According to second embodiment of the invention, there is provided
a single cover (5) codprising a lid, which is fully provided over the
I water tank (T) for protection against dust and insects. Here, the
cover (lid) is having .atleast one slot (6) for inflow of water from
cooling pad into the water tank (T).
In .addition to the Gbove, there are multitude. of holes (7) to
I I accommodate an inlet pipe for inflow of water, an outlet pipe for
: I out flow of water from ,water tank and water pump wire.
i The material of the cover is determined relying on the following 1

properties including polypropylene co-polymer (PPCP), PP, ABS,
HIPS without restricting scope of the invention to the same. Thus,
- other materials-readily apparent to-a -perDon okillcd in the a L are
understood to be within ambit of the invention.
It minimizes dust and restricts mosquitoes from entering the tank.
Further, it prevents dust from getting accumulated on the pump.
