A Test Rig For Testing The Effectiveness Of Photo Catalyst For Air Purification

Abstract: A test rig (100) having one main ducting line (DL) fitted with multiple fans (FA-1, FA-2) and connected with a bypass line (BL) and photo catalyst line (CL) fitted with suitable dampers (D1, D2) to regulate the air flow. Multiple air filters (F-1, F-2) fitted on each branching line to remove particulate matter before entering inside the duct. The air sucks through the branching line towards fans and releases at the main line after flow streamline and the presence of various air pollutants are measured by various analyser and sensors. A multi-layer catalyst bed (CB) line prepared on honeycomb core with TiO2. Anatase phase are configured and kept under the UV lights for excitation and to find the effectiveness under certain environment. Spacer with metallic rod used to fix each core at an equal gap and to allow the UV rays penetration to all the catalyst core uniformly.
