A Testing Apparatus For Measuring Fracture Energy Of Metal Bearing Agglomerates

Abstract: A testing apparatus (100) for measuring fracture energy of a metal bearing agglomerates (1) of a size is disclosed. The apparatus (100) includes a frame (3) with a platform (2) for supporting the metal bearing agglomerates (1) of the size. A clamping mechanism (4) is movably coupled to the frame (3) and includes a plurality of arms (12). The plurality of arms (12) is displaceable relative to each other and is structured to selectively grip an impacting member (11). The plurality of arms (12) is operable to release the impacting member (11) onto the metal bearing agglomerates (1) of the size to impact the metal bearing agglomerates (1) of the size for determining the fracture energy of the agglomerate (1) of the size. The above-described apparatus (100) provides accurate results of impact force as the impacting member (11) accurately impacts on the agglomerate (1)
