PREAMBLE TO THE DESCRIPTION
The following specification describes the invention

This invention relates to a testing apparatus for measuring motor performance and method of manufacturing the same for its efficiency, torque, speed and back emf, particularly for electric vehicle motor.
In Prior art, method of testing of external rotor hub mounted motors is known. This comprises a chassis dynamometer, a hub mounted motor coupled on a chassis of the vehicle. The motors are directly assembled on the electric vehicle and then tested on a dynamometer.
Conventional method needed a highly skilled labor and processing time is also higher to get a motor tested. If the wire cable routing is coming opposite of the brake drum side, then it becomes very difficult to hold the motors for testing. A specific holding method is required to test the motor without any errors and difficulty.
Chinese patents CN11241168A uses a built in dynamometer system. Motor mounting arrangement is size dependent and dedicated to a single type and size of the motor under testing. Motor shaft support arrangement is not provided. Another patents BG1990000093005 filed by INSTITUT PO MEKHANIKA I BIOMEKHANIKA, discloses for positioning an internal rotor motor on a test stand and this device is not suitable for an external rotor motor.
An application filed by NeoDrive LLC (Grand Rapids, MI) with no 10/604,889, where a mounting block disclosed in this document is a constructional feature of the motor and is not part of the test fixture adapted for testing the motor. Another application filed Automation Technology, Inc. (Dayton, OH) with no 08/022,551, In

this disclosure, a rotor is placed into a test fixture that includes a stator, a stationary field winding that produces a rotating magnetic field similar to that which the rotor would normally experience when ultimately installed in the motor, a flywheel and an encoder. This apparatus is not suitable for testing an external rotor motor in its fully assembled condition
An object of the invention is to provide a testing apparatus for measuring motor performance and method of manufacturing the same for its efficiency, torque, speed and back emf.
Yet another object of the invention is to provide a testing apparatus for measuring motor performance and method of manufacturing same which increases the productivity and save manpower cost
An object of the invention is to provide a testing apparatus for measuring motor performance and method of manufacturing same which takes comparatively very less time to assemble the hub mounted motor by reducing manual efforts and reduce process time also.
An object of the invention is to provide a testing apparatus for measuring motor performance and method of manufacturing same which has an external link to rotate the motor by the dynamometer.
According to the invention there is provided a testing apparatus for measuring motor performance and method of manufacturing same which comprising a base assembly

and rotating shaft assembly to measure the performance of the motor for its efficiency, torque, speed and back emf, particularly for electric vehicle motor.
In accordance to the present invention, rotating shaft assembly is mounted on base assembly rotatably.
In accordance to the present invention, the rotating shaft assembly comprises a shaft fixed with circular disc mounted on base assembly, coupling and plurality of mounting means mounting on circular disc to hold motor.
In accordance to the present invention, the rotating shaft assembly comprises a shaft fixed with circular disc has a blind hole to insert motor for free rotation of motor.
In accordance to the present invention, said coupling mounted on the shaft which is provided at outer side of the first plate.
In accordance to the present invention, said circular disc having a plurality of hole to mount the plurality of mounting means.
In accordance to the present invention, said circular disc having spigots to provide a grip to hold mounting means, a circular profiles is provided at the one end of the mounting plate to give grip with spigot, to prevent the rotation of plate under tension.
In accordance to the present invention, said mounting means is further connected to rods at the other end of the mounting means to hold and rotate the motor
4

In accordance to the present invention, said base assembly comprises a base plate and two plates mounted on the base plate, to mount the motor through a shaft, one end of the motor shaft is mounted in a blind hole rotatably, and other end of the motor shaft is fixed on the other plates
In accordance to the present invention, said first plate mounted on the base plate having bearing to hold the blind shaft fixed with circular disc and mounting means, to mount the motor rotatably through a central shaft of the motor,
In accordance to the present invention, said second plate mounted on the base plate, said second plate having a slot at top of the end of the plate, said slot is used to fix the other end of the central shaft of the motor.
In accordance to the present invention, a said fixed base plate is mounted on a test bed with screws.
In accordance to the present invention, a dynamometer is coupled with coupling to rotate the motor which will provide the back emf.
In accordance to the present invention, said motor used to rotate the dynamometer to measure the motor performance.
In accordance to the present invention, the shaft assembly is coupled with the motor and back emf ,no load speed and other performance tests are carried out.
5

In accordance to the present invention, the input power is given to the motor which rotates the shaft assembly of the fixture which is coupled to the dynamometer.
In accordance to the present invention, the dynamometer is loaded and at different load conditions the torque and speed curves are plotted which gives the motor characteristics.
