A Tiltable Head Restraint System
Abstract: A tiltable head restraint system includes guide plates, a casing and a lock pin carrier assembly. The guide plates are mounted on head restraint rod and has a cam profile with at least a pair of notches configured thereon. The casing is mounted on head restraint rod and swivels there about. The lock pin carrier assembly is disposed within the casing and swivels there with. The lock pin carrier assembly includes plate, urging element and locking pin. The plate is disposed between a first and a second face of the casing. The at least one urging element is disposed between plate and second face and urges plate towards first face. The locking pin extends from plate and moves within cam profile. The locking pin is received within first notch and second notch to define an up-right, operative configuration and knocked down folded configuration of the tiltable head restraint respectively.
