It should be understood, however, that it is not intended to limit the disclosure to the particular forms disclosed, but on the contrary, the disclosure is to cover all modifications, equivalents, and alternative falling within the scope of the disclosure.
[0023] The present invention makes a disclosure regarding a technology pertaining to a tool for boring and chamfering of tubes in Edge preparation machine.
[0024] Now, reference may be made to Figure-1 showing the new boring tool for lower diameter tubes i.e. around diameter of 31.8 mm tubes for Edge preparation and Boring of tubes in Edge preparation machine. The tool of the invention is applicable for the tube having diameter up to 37 mm and length of 2.2-14.8 meter.
[0025] Referring to Figure 1A indicating whole structure of the boring tool of the invention constituting a single piece. The boring tool comprises of boring tip fixed with star screw (1) provided at the top of body (2) and the body (2) is placed above shank (3).
[0026] Said shank (3) is substantially a cylindrical part with a depressed flat portion (4). The body (2) is a solid longitudinal member ending with the boring tip. Said boring tip is having rectilinear section with a hole (5) at the centre for fixing star screw (1). The body (2) includes a substantially circular base (2A) supporting there above an elongated member (2B) having irregular shape.
[0027] The boring tool is fixed with tool holder (as shown in Figure 2) clamped with machine spindle.
[0028] The boring tool with the tip in machine spindle rotates and does the boring operation of the required tubes.
[0029] The parameters of the tool (Figure 1) of the invention are as follows:
- Total length: 57 mm
- Boring length of the tool 20mm in tubes
