Specification

TECHNICAL FIELD
[001] The embodiments herein generally relate to fastener tools, more particularly but not exclusively to a tool specifically for holding a nut and turning or tightening a pin or bolt relative to the nut.
BACKGROUND
[002] Conventionally a spanner and a screw driver are used for tightening a pin on a nut of a fastener assembly, for example, a XM CV. The spanner holds a 10 hexagonal nylock nut and with the help of the screw driver the pin is tightened. Yet, occasionally the spanner can slip from the fastener assembly which thereby leads to an injury to an operator. Further the slippage of the spanner can incur a loss of time at the work station.
[003] Further when using a socket wrench to install or remove a nut or 15 bolt, there is a tendency for the nut or the bolt to fall out of the socket when it is not engaged. When the nut or bolt is engaged, the retaining force on the nut or bolt is much greater than the holding force on the socket. Therefore, the wrenching tool, including the socket, can be retracted off of the nut or bolt.
[004] Therefore, there is a need for a tool specifically for holding a nut and 20 turning or tightening a pin or bolt relative to the nut that eliminates the aforementioned drawbacks.
