A Transporting System With Status Display For Navigation In A Spinning Mill

Abstract: A transporting system integrated with status display for navigation of operators in a spinning mill is disclosed in the present invention wherein the transporting system comprise a status display for displaying the status of the yarn breaks and other defects with which the operator can easily patrol to the location of the yarn break and other defects to attend immediately.

CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION
[0001] The present application claims priority from the Provisional Application No. 201741025272 filed on 17th Jul 2017, the full disclosure of which is hereby incorporated by reference herein.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0002] The present invention relates to the transporting system more particularly a transporting system integrated with a status display which receives data from the monitoring system for navigation of operators in a spinning mill.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0003] Generally, in spinning mills the two key factors which determine the increased productivity are spindle speed and yarn breaks. Earlier yarn breakage and other defects are identified by the operator manually and corrected which consumes more time. To overcome this, individual spindle monitoring systems are available which detects the yarn breakage, informs and displays the yarn breakage data in various forms to the user. Though the yarn breakage is identified and intimated to the operator, he / she has to walk along the sides of the machine and correct the defect which consumes a lot of manpower and time. Also the operator fatigue increases which leads to lesser production.

[0004] 4846/CHE/2014 explains about an integrated system and method for enhancing the efficiency and quality of textile yarn manufacturing wherein the system contains a transportation system which carries the work force and material automatically to attend the yarn breaks and other defects. This system requires automation and control of the transportation system by the individual spindle monitoring system. This system is complicated to implement, costly and requires high investments.

[0005] The present invention overcomes the disadvantages in the prior art. The present invention deals with a transporting system which can be driven manually by the operators of the spinning mill. It contains a display which provides the status of the yarn breakages and other defects of textile machine with which operator can prioritize the patrolling. The system is simple and easy to be implemented in spinning mills.

OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
[0006] The main object of the present invention is to provide a transporting system for operators in a spinning mill wherein the transporting system contains a status display which provides the status of the yarn breakages and other defects of textile machine with which operator can prioritize the patrolling.

[0007] Other objects of the inventions will be apparent from the description of the invention herein below.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0008] Accordingly, the present invention provides a system for transporting the operators in a spinning mill easily and efficiently.

[0009] The present invention discloses a transporting system (6) which patrols inside the spinning mill to attend yarn breaks and other defects. The transporting system (6) comprise a status display (7) which provides information about the location of yarn breaks and other defects in the spinning mill with which operators can easily navigate to the required location and attend the defects immediately. The information available in the status display (7) is received from the individual spindle monitoring system installed in the spinning machines (1).

Figure 1 shows the arrangement and interconnectivity between the transporting system and the components of individual spindle monitoring system of a department in spinning mill.
Figure 2 shows the transporting system and its important features.
Figure 3 shows the transporting system and its features like navigation lamps (mending and front lights), provision for water bottle.
Figure 4 shows the status display and other components of the transporting system.
Figure 5 shows the replaceable battery provision of the transporting system.
Figure 6 shows the headphone and its interconnectivity with the status display of the transporting system.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0011] For better understanding of the objects, technical solution and advantages of the present invention, the present invention will be further explained in detail with respect to embodiments and accompanying drawings below. It should be understood that the specific embodiments described herein only be used for explaining the present invention but not used to limit the present invention.

[0012] The present invention provides a transporting system (6) for the operators in a spinning mill to attend yarn breakages and other defects of textile machines and / or processes wherein the transporting system has the facilities for driving inside the departments of the spinning mill characterized in that the transporting system comprise a status display (7) which receives information from the individual spindle monitoring system comprising individual spindle sensors (21) , the data collection unit (2), data receiving unit (3) and the data processing unit (4) about the status of the machines by which the operator who is driving the transporting system prioritize the patrolling for attending yarn breakages and other defects in the spinning mill.

[0013] As disclosed in Fig 1, the spinning machine (1) contains plurality of sensors (21) for individual spinning positions. The plurality of sensors (21) transfers the spindle data like breaks to the data collection unit (2) through wired and / or wireless technologies. The data receiving unit (3) receives data from plurality of spinning machines (1) through plurality of data collection units (2) by wired and / or wireless technologies. The collected information from the one or more data receiving units (3) is sent to data processing unit (4) which is a centralized server. The individual spindle sensors (21), the data collection unit (2), data receiving unit (3) and the data processing unit (4) are generally the components of the individual spindle monitoring system. These components can be integrated as a single module or disintegrated as multiple modules. The processed data is sent through wireless data transmission device (5) to the status display (7) which is present in the transporting system (6).

[0014] In certain embodiments, the data can be received directly by the status display (7) from the data collection unit (2) or from the data receiving unit (3).

[0015] In another embodiment of the invention, the processed data is sent to the status display through wired data transmission device.

[0016] Figure 2 explains the transporting system (6) equipped with status display (7) which provides the machine status, spindle defect details etc enabling the operator to navigate and attend the yarn breakage and other defects immediately. The status display (7) also provides information such as the average time taken to attend one yarn breakage and / or other spindle defects and the overall average time taken by many such transportation devices. This information helps the operator available in the transporting system (6) to ascertain their performance for improvements. The transportation system (6) is equipped with adjustable seat (9) for operator. The speed is controlled by the operator through the accelerator (11) which can be operated either through hands or legs. Brake (12) can be applied by the operator whenever required. Mending lights (10) are available which lights up whenever brake is applied to illuminate the spindle for attending yarn breakage and / or other spindle defects. Waste basket (13) is provided to collect all kind of wastes. A front wheel (14) along with rear wheels (15) is provided for navigating and balancing the transporting system (6).

[0017] Figure 3 explains the transporting system (6) equipped with a provision for water bottle (16). The mending lights (10) are provided to illuminate the spindle defect area on both sides enabling the operator to attend yarn breaks and / or other spindle defects. In addition to mending lights (10), front light (17) is provided which the operator can use for navigation if required. With mending lights (10) and front light (17), the need for external lights is reduced which saves the energy consumed by the spinning department significantly.

[0018] Figure 4 explains the transporting system (6) equipped with display (8) which displays the status of the transporting system (6) like speed, battery level etc. Additionally an inching button (18) is available which can be used for short movements of the transportation devices for attending yarn breakages / other faults of closer proximities. The status display (7) is mounted in between the handles. Brake (12) is available for stopping the transporting system (6).

[0019] Figure 5 explains an alternate embodiment wherein the transporting system contains provision for replaceable battery (19) which can be removed and charged separately instead of carrying the transporting system (6) for charging. In another embodiment, the transport system may have an inbuilt battery.

[0020] Figure 6 shows the headphone (20) which can be connected with the status display (7) for hearing songs and any other audio. The connection can be either wired or wireless.
,CLAIMS:We Claim:
1. A transporting system (6) for the operators in a spinning mill to attend yarn breakages and other defects of textile machines and / or processes wherein the said system has the facilities for driving inside the departments of the spinning mill characterized in that the transporting system comprise a status display (7) which receives information from the individual spindle monitoring system comprising individual spindle sensors (21) , the data collection unit (2), data receiving unit (3) and the data processing unit (4) about the status of the machines with which the operator who is driving the transporting system prioritize the patrolling for attending yarn breakages and other defects in the spinning mill.
2. The transporting system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the status display (7) of the said system receive information from the individual spindle monitoring system through wired or wireless data transmission device (5).
3. The transporting system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the said system is battery (19) operated and the battery may be an inbuilt or a replaceable one.
4. The transporting system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the speed of the said system is controlled by accelerator (11) which can be operated either through hands or legs.
5. The transporting system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the mending lights (10) lit up once the transporting system stops for attending a yarn breakage or any other defects in the spinning mill.
6. The transporting system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the said system has an inching button (18) which can be used for short movements of the transportation system for attending a yarn breakage or any other defects in the spinning mill.
7. The transporting system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the said system further comprise utilities like waste box (13) , provision for water bottle (16) and headphone (20).
