Description:FIELD OF INVENTION
[001] The present invention relates to a field of a tray table integration in a vehicle. Specifically, the present invention relates to a system of tray tables integrated on a center console that is adjustable according to the need of the user.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[002] Tray tables present in a vehicle provide manifold benefits to the users while riding the vehicle. Some of the utilizations of the tray table by the users include eating, writing, working on laptop etc.
[003] Generally, the tray table mechanism into car is packaged into center console present in rear passenger seat. The space available in the vehicle is limited and packaging of tray table generally involves a lot of mechanisms and structural support members to provide stiffness to the tray table.
[004] The patent document DE10230643B4 titled “Table arrangement, in particular for use in a motor vehicle” discloses a table arrangement for use in a lateral area adjacent to a seat, in particular in a motor vehicle, with a plate-shaped table element, which has a guide means between a non-use position and a substantially horizontal one use position is transferable, wherein the guide means has a pivoting arm, the one-piece in such a way over joint connected to the table element and at the other end such as about a horizontal and transverse to a extending pivot axis pivotally connected to a base part is connected or connectable, that the table element in the non-use position with lowered pivot arm in one substantially vertical, to the seat viewing direction axis.
[005] Another patent document US9849818B2 titled “Deployable table apparatus” discloses a deployable table apparatus for a vehicle includes a support arm and a carrier member. The carrier member is mounted to the support arm and is movable between a retracted position and an extended position. A table is mounted to the carrier member and is pivotable between a first position suitable for stowage and a second position suitable for use. A biasing mechanism is provided for biasing the carrier member towards the extended position. Movement of the carrier member from the extended position to the retracted position is inhibited when the table is in the second position. Pivoting the table to the second position is inhibited when the carrier member is in the retracted position.
[006] One another patent document US20100154684A1 titled “Tray table and related method” discloses tray table devices and related methods. Some embodiments include foldable tray table devices capable of being stowed. Some embodiments also include tray tables that have expandable and/or collapsible storage compartments. Other embodiments relate to methods for making and/or using structural embodiments of the invention.
[007] In order to overcome the challenges associated with the state of the arts, there is a need to develop an efficient system of integrating a tray table into the center console of the vehicle that has less complication in packing the tray table. Also, the present invention packs the tray table on outside of the center console instead of packing inside the center console, thereby resolving packing constraints and user’s accessibility making easier.

OBJECTIVE OF THE INVENTION
[008] The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a system for integrating a tray table on a center console of a vehicle.
[009] Another objective of the present invention is to provide a convenient surface for work or dining without obstructing legroom or creating discomfort.
[0010] Another objective of the present invention is to provide ease of use of the tray table that is easily folded and unfolded with secure locking for a stable surface.
[0011] Yet another objective of the present invention is to prevent vibration during motion of the vehicle by groove and bracket provided on the tray table.
[0012] Another objective of the present invention is to provide a compact design of the tray table.
[0013] Yet another objective of the present invention is to provide the tray table sitting flush with the center console, when not in use.
[0014] Another objective of the present invention is to provide the center console usable for storage, device charging and other needs of the passenger.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0025] The present invention relates to a tray table system integrated on center console in a vehicle. The system comprises of: a mounting structure fastened to a chassis of the vehicle, a center console mounted on the mounting structure between seats of the vehicle and a tray table mounted on the center console through a bracket. Further, the tray table comprises of a cut-out portion on one end of the tray table and a groove on the back side of other end of the tray table. Furthermore, the center console comprises of a protruded part. The protruded part is provided for keeping tray table in folded position such that a user travels the vehicle comfortably. Additionally, the tray table lifted upward through the cut-out portion and the groove fixes in the bracket such that the tray table locks in the bracket when unfolded configuration and prevents vibration in the moving vehicle.
[0026] The present invention introduces a unique tray table integration into the center console of the vehicle which does not have any mechanism for folding and unfolding of tray table that reduces the complications in mechanism by reducing the part count and solves packaging constrains which after all solves the purpose and reduces time for assembly into the vehicle.

[0032] Accordingly, the present invention relates to a field of a tray table integration in a vehicle. Specifically, the present invention relates to a system of tray table integrated on a center console that is adjustable according to the need of the user.
[0033] In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, figure 1 illustrates a tray table system (100) integrated in a center console of a vehicle. The system (100) of integrating the tray table comprises of: a mounting structure (102) fastened to a chassis of the vehicle between rear seats (200) of the vehicle, a center console (104) mounted on the mounting structure (102) and a tray table (106) mounted on the center console (104) through a bracket (108). Further, the tray table (106) comprises of a cut-out portion (110) on one end of the tray table (106) and a groove (112) on the back side of other end of the tray table (106). Furthermore, the center console (104) comprises of a protruded part (114).
[0034] In an exemplary embodiment, the vehicle may be such as, but not limited to, sedan car, minivan, sports utility vehicle, aerospace, flights and the like.

[0036] A) Mounting structure (102): A mounting structure (102) is fastened to the chassis of a vehicle, as shown in figure 1. The mounting structure is fastened by means of screws, rivets, carriage bolts, tapping screws. Further, the mounting structure (102) is provided as a base and made with material such as, but not limited to, mild steel, alloy steel, medium carbon, and medium tensile steel.
[0037] B) Center console (104): A center console (104) is mounted on the mounting structure (102), as shown in combination of figures 2 to 4. The center console (104) may be present in between the rear and front seats of the passenger. Further, the center console (104) comprising a protruded part (114). The center console (104) has a storage compartment for storing different items as per requirement of the users.
[0038] C) Tray table (106): A tray table (106) is mounted on the center console (104) through a bracket (108). The tray table (106) is on exterior of the center console (104) and remains flush with the center console (104), as shown in figure 5. The tray table (106) remains in folded position on the protruded part (114) such that a user travels the vehicle comfortably. The tray table (106) comprises of a cut-out portion (110) on one end of the tray table (106) and a groove (112) on the back side of other end of the tray table (106), as shown in figure 6 and figure 7. The tray table lifted upward through the cut-out portion (110) and the groove (112) fixes in the bracket (108) such that the tray table (106) locks in the bracket (108) when unfolded configuration and prevents vibration in the moving vehicle.
[0039] The present invention provides integration of the tray table (106) by eliminating the complicated packaging. Further, the tray table (106) packaging is avoided inside the center console and it is packaged on the outside of the center console (104) in such a way that it resolves the packaging constraints and easier to access and remains flush with the center console (104). Further, the tray table (106) are introduced into the vehicles for comfort and for doing work or having food in the vehicle in a comforting manner. The tray table (106) has to be pulled in upward direction and unfold it in such a way that in sets into the groove (112) given on the back side of the tray table (106). The groove (112) helps to set the tray table (106) into the bracket (108) position and does not allow vibration in the moving vehicle.
[0040] A Bracket (108) is welded on the mounting structure (102), as shown in figure 8, which helps in support of the tray table (106). The bracket (108) is provided to fix the groove (112) given on back side of the tray table (106) to fit into the bracket (108) when the tray table (106) is lifted upward to provide the tray table (106) with good stability while travelling.
[0041] The tray table (106) of the present invention is integrated into the vehicle in between the users seat. Packaging on the tray table (106) generally involves a lot of mechanisms and structural support members to provide stiffness to the tray table (106). The present invention provides the elimination of mechanisms to solve packaging constraints by servitor prior purpose of the tray table (106).
[0042] Further, instead of packaging the tray table (106) inside the center console (104), the present invention is packaged outside the center console (104) in such a way that it resolves the packaging constraints and easier to excess.
[0043] The present invention provides elimination of mechanisms: Existing tray table assembly includes lot of sub parts which assembles together to make a one complete assembly. To eliminate the part complexity and to reduce the part count, the tray table (106) is made without any mechanism.
[0044] Further, the present invention solves packaging complications: The tray table (106) may be mounted on the outside wall of the center (104) console that solves the complications resulting in better packaging inside the center console (104) for other different components.

• The present invention provides the tray table sitting flush with the center console, when not in use.
• The present invention provides the rear center console usable for storage, device charging and other needs of the users.

, Claims:1. A tray table system (100) integrated on center console in a vehicle, comprising:
a) a mounting structure (102) fastened to a chassis of a vehicle;
b) a center console (104) mounted on the mounting structure (102) between seats (200) of the vehicle; and
c) a tray table (106) mounted on the center console (104) through a bracket (108), comprising a cut-out portion (110) on one end of the tray table (106) and at least a groove (112) on the back side of other end of the tray table (106);
wherein,
o the center console (104) comprising a protruded part (114) for keeping the tray table (106) in folded position such that a user travels the vehicle comfortably; and

o the tray table (106) lifted upward through the cut-out portion (110) and the groove (112) fixes in the bracket (108) such that the tray table (106) locks in the bracket (108) when unfolded configuration and prevents vibration in the moving vehicle.

2. The tray table system (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the vehicle is selected from sedan car, minivan, sports utility vehicle and the like.

3. The tray table system (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the mounting structure (102) material is selected from a group of mild steel, alloy steel, medium carbon, and medium tensile steel.

4. The tray table system (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the mounting structure (102) is fastened to the chassis by means of screws, rivets, carriage bolts, tapping screws.

5. The tray table system (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the center console (104) comprises a storage compartment for storing different items.

6. The tray table system (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the bracket (108) is welded on the console mounting structure (102).
