A Water Tray In A Household Appliance

Abstract: A water tray in a household appliance The water tray 10 in a household appliance 11 is arranged above a compressor 12 of the household appliance 11. The water tray 10 stores water received through a tube 14 from a component 38 of the household appliance 11. The water tray 10 comprises multiple openings 15 to allow heat from the compressor 11 to evaporate the stored water. With the condenser coil 34 wrapping around the water tray 10, the usage of the copper tube inside the water tray 10 is avoided. The corrosion of the copper tube and the additional maintenance of the copper tube like painting/coating water resistant material on the copper tube is prevented, making the present invention a cost-effective solution to drain the water received in the water tray 10.

Specification

Claims:1.A water tray (10) in a household appliance (11), said water tray (10) arranged above a compressor (12) of said household appliance (11), said water tray (10) stores water received through a tube (14) from a component (13) of said 5 household appliance (10);
characterized in said water tray (10):
- multiple openings (15) made on said water tray (10), to allow heat from said compressor (12) to evaporate said stored water.
2.The water tray (10) as claimed in claim 1, wherein one side (16) of said water tray (10) is made elevated than an opposite side (18).
3.The water tray (10) as claimed in claim 1, wherein said water tray (10) comprises a first portion (20), a second portion (22) and a third portion (24), 15 wherein said multiple openings (15) are provided in said second portion (22).
4.The water tray (10) as claimed in claim 3, wherein a wall (26) extending from sides of said second portion (22) divides said water tray (10) into said first portion (20) and said third portion (24).
5.The water tray (10) as claimed in claim 3, wherein said second portion (22) comprises at least one passage (28) made in between of said multiple openings (15) for said water to flow from said first portion (20) into said third portion (24).
6.The water tray (10) as claimed in claim 3, wherein dimensions of said second portion (22) is made corresponding to dimensions of said compressor (12).
7.The water tray (10) as claimed in claim 6, wherein said second portion (22) is 30 raised above a bottom surface (30) of said water tray (10).
8.The water tray (10) as claimed in claim 7, wherein said second portion (24) is raised to a height of at least one sidewall (32) of said water tray (10).
9.The water tray (10) as claimed in claim 1, wherein a portion of a condenser coil 5 (34) of said household appliance (11) is wrapped around on an outer surface (36) of said water tray (10) to evaporate said stored water.
10.The water tray (10) as claimed in claim 9, wherein said at least one sidewall (32) of said water tray (10) is multi layered, such that, said condenser coil (34)is 10 passed in between layers of at least one sidewall (32), when wrapped around said water tray (10). , Description:A water tray in a household appliance
The water tray 10 in a household appliance 11 is arranged above a compressor 12 of the household appliance 11.
