Abstract: ABSTRACT Present disclosure discloses a wax die (200) for manufacturing a jewellery. The wax die (200) includes a body (10) and at least one head (100) extending from the body (10). Further, the at least one head (100) includes a base portion (1) defined with a cavity (2) to receive the one or more jewels (7). Additionally, the at least one head (100) includes a plurality of projections (3) which extend from a peripheral region of the base portion (1). Each of the plurality of projections (3) extend obliquely at an angle (α) from a vertical axis A-A and are configured to secure the one or more jewels (7) received within the cavity (2). The configuration of the wax die enables fitting the one or more jewels directly into the wax die and facilitates manufacturing of the jewellery without any shaping process after die casting. Figs. 1 and 2 are the representative figures.
We Claim:
1. A wax die (200) for manufacturing a jewellery, the wax die (200) comprising:
a body (10); and
at least one head (100) extending from the body (10) and configured to receive and secure one or more jewels (7), the at least one head (100) comprising:
a base portion (1), defined with a cavity (2) to receive the one or more jewels (7); and
a plurality of projections (3) extending from a peripheral region of the base portion (1), each of the plurality of projections (3) extend obliquely at an angle (α) from a vertical axis A-A and configured to secure the one or more jewels (7) received within the cavity (2).
2. The wax die (200) as claimed in claim 1, wherein a brim portion (9) of the cavity (2) is defined with a countersink profile.
3. The wax die (200) as claimed in claim 1, wherein each of the plurality of projections (3) comprises:
an elongated member (11) configured to adjoin with the peripheral region of the base portion (1);
a neck section (4) defined with a tapered profile, extending from one end of the elongated member (11); and
a spherical section (5), extending from the neck section (4), wherein the neck section (4) and the spherical section (5) extend obliquely at the angle (α) from the vertical axis A-A.
4. The wax die (200) as claimed in claims 1 and 3, wherein the angle (α) is in the range of 6 degrees to 120 degrees relative to the vertical axis A-A.
5. The wax die (200) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the plurality of projections (3) are defined with a groove (6) to abut and secure the one or more jewels (7) in the cavity (2).
6. The wax die (200) as claimed in claim 5, wherein the groove (6) is defined on an outer radial surface of at least one of the neck section (4) and the spherical section (5).
7. A method for manufacturing a jewellery, comprising:
modelling, a jewellery model relative to dimensions of one or more jewels (7) to be accommodated and a jewellery to be manufactured;
preparing, a wax die (200) having configuration as claimed in claim 1;
fitting, the one or more jewels (7) within a cavity (2) of the wax die wherein the one or more jewels (7) is held by a plurality of projections (3);
positioning, the wax die (200) snapped with the one or more jewels (7) within a mold; and
casting, the jewellery by introducing required metal in molten form into the mold.
8. The method as claimed in claim 7, wherein the mold is made of plaster of paris.
9. The method as claimed in claim 9, wherein the required metal in molten form is injected into the mold to settle in the void space created due to wax die melting.
10. The method as claimed in claim 9, comprises solidifying the molten metal in the void space to form the jewellery.
