A Wear Monitoring Device Connected To A Material Transfer System And Defect Detection Method Thereof
Abstract: Embodiments herein provide a wear monitoring device (4) connected to a material transfer system (3) and wear detection method thereof. The material transfer system (3) includes a first material transfer conduit and a second material transfer conduit. The second material transfer conduit is inside the first material transfer conduit. The wear monitoring device (4) connected to the material transfer system (3) using a mounting assembly (2). The wear monitoring device (4) includes a wear detection sensor (5) to detect a defect associated with the second material transfer conduit and send an alert to a user of the wear monitoring device (4) indicating about the defect. The present invention provides a design and development of the wear monitoring device with Nondestructive Ultrasonic methodology to predict critical ceramic thickness before it cause catastrophic failure to the process equipment due to wear or corrosion phenomenon.
