Abstract: Present invention describes a two wheeled vehicle with a wheel rim assembly having a wheel rim connected to a wheel hub through a plurality of wheel rim arms such that a spline is fixed with the wheel hub in order to hold wheel rim axle, and rotation of which axle is controlled by multiple bearing bores secured on width-wise ends of said spline.
FIELD OF INVENTION
The present invention relates to the wheels of the two-wheeled vehicle and more particularly to the wheel rim assembly for the two-wheeled vehicle.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Generally, in two wheeled vehicles wheel rim for front and the rear wheel is constructed differently due to different mechanical requirements for different wheels and in making of such different rim for one vehicle is a difficult and costly job and the requirement of the number and the type of parts is different as well as their making process is also difficult. Also, in order to attach different parts of a wheel use of fasteners is in practice, which might be dangerous for the driver if said fasteners get loosen.
Thus there is a requirement for an assembly for the wheels wherein the difference in front and rear wheel is minimum as well as the use of fastening units reduces so that the risk for the rider can be minimized.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The present invention related to a wheel rim assembly for a two-wheeled vehicle having a wheel rim, a wheel hub and multiple wheel rim arms connecting the wheel rim and the wheel hub. A pressed metal spline as a means for securing the metal rim axle is fixed inside said wheel hub and multiple bearing bore is secured on the transverse ends of said pressed metal spline as a means for controlling the rotation of the wheel rim axle. The wheel hub, the pressed metal spline and the bearing bores are integrated to each other as well as the wheel rim and the wheel rim arms and the wheel hub are integrated to each other.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWING
The present invention will become more fully understood from the detailed description given herein below and the accompanying drawing which is incorporated in and constitute embodiments of the invention, illustrate several aspects of the invention and together with a description of the embodiments serve to explain the principles of the invention and thus, are not limited of the present invention and a brief description of the drawing is as follows:
Figure 1 is showing the essential embodiments of the invention.
Figure 2 is showing the use of the invention for the front wheel of the vehicle.
Figure 3 is showing the use of invention for the rear wheel of the invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The embodiments disclosed below are not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the invention to the precise forms disclosed in the following detailed description. Rather, the embodiments are chosen and described so that others skilled in the art may utilize their teachings. The invention may have application to all types of two wheeled vehicles.
Figure 1 is an exemplary representation of the essential embodiments of the invention wherein the wheel rim assembly (100) is made up of three major embodiment i.e. wheel rim (109), wheel hub (108) and multiple wheel rim arms (101), wherein the wheel rim arms (101) are connecting the wheel hub (108) and the wheel rim (109). Said wheel rim assembly (100) is the common rim assembly for the front (as shown in figure 2) and rear wheel (as shown in figure 3) arrangements. Said wheel hub unit (108) is the centre part of the wheel rim assembly (100) and a pressed metal spline (102) is secured at the centre of said wheel hub (108). Multiple bearing bores (103) are available on the transverse sides of the pressed metal spline (102), which are used to control the rotation of the wheel rim axle.
Figure 2 is the exemplary representation of the use of the wheel rim assembly (100) as the front wheel assembly (200). A wheel rim axle (204) is fixed into the pressed metal spline (202) with the help of ball bearings fixed in the bearing bores (206) with the help of spacers (205) in order to ensure the rotation of the wheel rim axle (204) rotation.
Further, another exemplary use of the claimed invention is shown in the figure 3, as the claimed wheel rim assembly (100) is used for the rear wheel assembly (300). In this case the wheel rim axle (305) is fixed inside the pressed metal spline (303) such that bearing bores has ball bearings (312) as well as the spacers (310, 311) in order to ensure the fixed position of the wheel rim axle (305). Further, in order to ensure, fixed position (no rotation) of the wheel rim axle (305) one end of the wheel rim axle (305) is fixed with an axle nut (306), which holds the wheel rime axle (305) and does not allow it to rotate.
WHAT IS CLAIMED IS
1) A wheel rim assembly for a two wheeled vehicle comprising a wheel rim connected to a wheel hub through a plurality of wheel rim arm wherein a spline, configured to secure a wheel rim axle inside the wheel hub, is fixed with the wheel hub and a plurality of bearing bore, configured to control the rotation of the wheel rim axle, is secured on width-wise ends of said spline such that the wheel hub, the pressed metal spline and the plurality of bearing bore are integrated to each other.
2) The wheel rim assembly, as claimed in claim 1, wherein the wheel rim, the plurality of wheel rim arm and the wheel hub are made up of pressed metal.
3) The wheel rim assembly, as claimed in claim 1, wherein the spline is a pressed metal construction.
4) The wheel rim assembly, substantially as herein described with reference to, and as illustrated in, the accompanying drawings.
