BACKGROUND OF INVENTION:
India is one of the ethnically and religiously diverse nations in the world. The culture of India refers collectively to the thousands of distinct and unique culture of all religions and communities present in India. The Indian culture, often labelled as an amalgamation of several cultures, has had profound impact across the world.
Early education in India commenced under the supervision of a guru. Initially, education was open to all and seen as one of the methods to achieve Moksha in those days, or enlightenment. As time progressed, due to superiority complexes, the education was imparted on the basis of caste and the related duties that one had to perform as a member of a specific caste. The Brahmans learned about scriptures and religion while the Kshatriya was educated in the various aspects of warfare. The Vaishya caste learned commerce and other specific vocational courses while
education was largely denied to the Shudras, the lowest caste. The earliest venues of education in India were often secluded from the main population. Students were expected to follow strict monastic guidelines prescribed by the guru and stay away from cities in ashrams.
Education in Ancient India originated with the Gurukul system. This type of ancient school in India was residential in nature with the Shishyas or students and the Guru or teacher living in proximity within the same house. The students resided together irrespective of their social standing. However, several temples and community centres regularly took the role of schools. In addition to that ancient Indian education achieved a noticeable position in the early Vedic period In the Vedic days, the teaching of the four Vedas, the hymns and ritual practices were seen. The Vedas included the Sanskrit language which in turn became the language of classical learning. Besides the pronunciation of the Vedas and their implication, phonology, metrics, elementary grammar, and etymology were also taught.
In fair weather; classes were held under the shelter of the tree. In the rainy season schools ran under thatched roof. Temple colleges of the past had been of great renown for having spacious buildings for classrooms and the residential complexes of the students and the "Gurus". Gurukuls and Ashrams were generally situated on the river banks or on the lake to attain the knowledge.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION ABOUT INVENTION:
Aathichudi is the concept of brining the golden era of Indian education system. This ideology is to bring back the same discipline, modesty, focus in to the students. The major purpose is to bring the Gurukul system which was vanished again into existence.
The most important loophole in our present system that has been neglected till now is our initial stage of education, which has led to the shambling stage of our education system. In this sector the
primary or elementary education is comparatively less important than the higher education in our country.
India is one of the ethnically and religiously diverse nations in the world. The culture of India refers collectively to the thousands of distinct and unique culture of all religions and communities present in India. The Indian culture, often labelled as an amalgamation of several cultures, has had profound impact across the world.
Important aspects of our culture such as welcoming the guests, offering them a drink, enquiring about their well beings are fading away. Children are becoming more addicted to gadgets than playing out with friends and neighbours.
Moreover, important aspects of our ancient education system such as low pupil ratio, healthy teaching surroundings, role of discipline, regulation governing student life, traditional food, traditional games such as pallanguzhi, paandi, gummi, pambaram which improves the gross and fine motor skills of a child, are lacking in the present education system.
Aathichudi Early Education System focuses mainly in developing the younger mind for the betterment of the Individual and society. Education is fully responsible for the development of physical, intellectual and character development, development of civic, social and moral values, social efficiency and happiness, preservation and spread of culture and development of the best type of personality.
The most important contribution of ancient India not only for India but also for the world is in the field of education. It may also be remembered that education is not an abstract term. It is manifested in the cultural, economic, individual, philosophical, scientific and social advancement. Aathichudi aims at character formation, all round development of personality, intellectual development, spiritual development, preparation for living, preserving and transmitting culture through listening (listening
to the words uttered by the teacher), deliberation, meditation, illustration and project methods.
Role of a teacher in Aathichudi:
The Teacher or Guru in Aathichudi as in early Indian Gurukul System is responsible not only in imparting knowledge, but also in molding the personality and character of the pupils of her class. At this stage, good manners are to be taught so that the children behave properly with elders and in assemblies. Thus the main aim of Aathichudi Early Education System was to produce a rational individual, free from passions, full of universal affection, continuously self-educating and striving to reach the highest goal.
Organic Farming activities:
Getting children involved in farming and gardening activities can help them connect with nature while exposing them to some fresh air. Organic farming involves using only natural methods without using any harmful chemicals, toxic elements or synthetic element to fertilize, feed or increase growth.
When kids learn about farming or growing food in garden, they change their whole perspective on it. It changes their relationship with food, as they tend to see food in a different way. Many kids today lack the knowledge about food such as how they can grow it, care for it, nurture it and harvest it, where it comes from, and the benefits of growing and preparing your own food. Learning about how food is produced at an early age will improve their knowledge on the environment and eco system. They will also learn how to become more responsible when it comes to food. Environmentalism is not a choice, but a necessity today.
Montessori activities:
The benefit of learning on their own is that kids can explore different ways of thinking. "Do not tell your child how to do things. Tell her what to do." Children will come up with different own methods of doing them. Children are encouraged to think
critically and explore different ways of thinking in order to solve problems.
On continuous research into the realm of Play school / pre- school methods followed worldwide, we realized that most of the leading brands in this industry were not providing a platform to develop the inherent but undeveloped talent that was hidden within each child.
Aathichudi's unique, creative and nurturing child care curriculum is designed to meet many of the child's physical, emotional and social development needs. But, it's through an ongoing partnership with parents and guardians, that we ensure continuity and continued enrichment for the child.
