Access Port
Abstract: An access port (10) used in connection with a catheter (C) is equipped with a port body (11) that includes a liquid-holding portion (11a) and a diaphragm body (60) that covers the liquid-holding portion (11a). The port body (11) includes a connecting passage (40) that connects to the liquid-holding portion (11a) and allows the liquid-holding portion (11a) to communicate with the inside of the catheter (C). The length (L) in the direction perpendicular to the axial direction (D1) between the surface (60a) of the diaphragm body (60) opposite the liquid-holding portion (11a) and the inner surface of the liquid-holding portion (11a) in a cross-section along the axial direction (D1) of the connecting passage (40) at a connection position (P) where the connecting passage connects to the liquid-holding portion (11a) gradually decreases with distance from the connection position (P) within an inclined region (S) that exceeds half of the liquid-holding portion (11a) along the axial direction (D1).
