Abstract: ABSTRACT ACCESSING A BATTERY IN A VEHICLE A battery access assembly (100), a tray assembly (107) and a method (400) for accessing the battery. The battery access assembly (100) for a vehicle, includes, a tray assembly (107) to accommodate a battery, a linkage assembly (103) to connect the tray assembly (107) to a chassis (101) of the vehicle. The linkage assembly (103) comprising, a first linkage (105) having a first arm (205) and a second arm (206) and a second linkage (106). The first arm (205) and the second arm (206) being at an angle with respect to each other, a first end of the second linkage (106) is pivotably connectable to the chassis (101), in which the tray assembly (107) is connected to the linkage assembly (103), and an elastic member (102) pivotably connectable to the chassis, to move the tray assembly (107) between an open condition and a closed condition.
