Abstract: Present disclosure provides an accessory locking mechanism for a two wheeled vehicle. Said lock is secured over the steering assembly and is integrated with ignition and steering lock. A conveyer is attached at one end with a key mechanism operated by an external key and connected on another end with a spring unit which is further connecting the conveyer to a lower locking head. Mentioned lower locking head is integrated with the upper locking head and both are secured inside and above speedometer housing respectively. Upper locking head operates in one direction with the movement of the key such that conveyer transmits the movement signal to the lower head through the spring unit. Said spring unit is used to keep lower and upper locking head in its original position and movement of said lower locking head regulates movement of the upper locking head.
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The invention generally relates a locking arrangement in two wheeled vehicle and particularly to the accessory lock arrangement in two wheeled vehicle. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Generally, in motorcycles separate locking system for helmets are present, which are not inbuilt with the vehicle and to be purchased as a separate unit. In some prior art documents helmet lock or accessory lock is provided with the vehicle at rear location. Some vehicles have helmet lock on front side such as scooters. Using all these type of locking mechanism is inconvenient for user either because of location or use of multiple keys for different locks of vehicle.
Accordingly, the present invention provides a simple and durable solution for the above described issue.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
Main objective of the present invention is to provide an accessory locking mechanism for a two wheeled vehicle secured over a steering assembly and is integrated with ignition and steering lock.
Said mechanism is having a conveyer attached at one end with a key mechanism operated by an external key and connected on another end with a spring unit. This spring unit is connecting the conveyer to the lower part of locking head secured inside speedometer housing and the upper part of locking head is secured over the speedometer housing.
Upper part of locking head operates atleast in one direction with the movement of the key as the conveyer transmits the movement signal to the lower head through the spring unit. Said spring unit is used to keep the lower and upper locking head in its original position and movement of lower locking head regulates movement of the upper locking head.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
The present invention will become more fully understood from the detailed description given herein below and the accompanying drawing which is incorporated in and constitute embodiments of the invention, illustrate several aspects of the invention and together with a description of the embodiments serve to explain the principles, features and exemplary embodiments of the invention and thus, are not limited of the present invention and a brief description of the drawing is as follows:
Figure 1 and figure 2 is showing the location of the claimed invention in the vehicle.
Figure 3 is depicting the essential embodiments of the claimed invention.
Figure 4 and figure 5 is describing the enablement if the invention in ON and OFF position.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The embodiments disclosed below are not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the invention to the precise forms disclosed in the following detailed description. Rather, the embodiments are chosen and described for enablement purpose of the invention. The invention may have application to all types of vehicles. The scope of the invention is entirely based upon the claims provided.
Reference is made to Figure 1 and Figure 2 in order to explain the assembly location of the claimed accessory lock mechanism 105 over the speedometer housing 108. Said lock mechanism 105 is having one exposed locking head 100 secured on outer surface of the speedometer housing 108.
This speedometer housing 108 is housed in the steering assembly 103. This locking head 100 is working in accordance to the movement of the key 104 and used to hold or release the helmet (exemplary accessory) strap 102 as per requirement. Claimed accessory lock mechanism 105 is integrated with the ignition lock and steering lock and all these locks are operated with a single key 104.
Further, Figure 3, Figure 4 and Figure 5 are explaining essential embodiments of the claimed lock mechanism 105. Said locking mechanism 105 is having a conveyer 106. Said conveyer 106 attached at one end with a key mechanism 109 operated by an external key 104 and connected on another end with a spring unit 107. This spring unit 107 is further connecting the conveyer 106 to the lower locking head 100-L secured inside a speedometer housing 108. The lower locking head 100-L is integrated with an upper locking head 100U secured over the speedometer housing 108.
The upper locking head 100U operates at least in one direction with the movement of the key 104 as the conveyer 106 transmits the movement signal to the lower locking head 100L through the spring unit 107. This spring unit 107 is configured to keep the lower 100L and upper 100U locking head in its original position. Movement of said lower locking head 100L regulates movement of the upper locking head 100U.
Figure 4 and Figure 5 also high lights the locked and unlocked condition of the said accessory locking mechanism 105. In unlocked condition (Figure 4) upper locking head 100U of the locking mechanism 105 does not link or couple or connect with the lower locking head 100L and hence a space for the helmet strap 102 is provided to pass through.
Further in locked condition (Figure 5) upper locking head 100U and lower locking head 100L couple or connect with each other such that the helmet strap 102 does not get any space to pass through the locking head 100.
Above described arrangement provides a cost effective and easy way for improving aesthetic look and accessory locking facility in two wheeled vehicles.
WHAT IS CLAIMED IS
