TITLE:
ADJUSTABLE RING ATTACHMENT
FIELD OF INVENTION:
The present invention mainly discloses an attachment device, which needs to be inserted into the inner hollow portion of the finger ring, which when attached, can impart adjustability to the size/inner circumference of the ring, for greater comfort in wearability of the ring especially when the ring size of a finger changes due to varied conditions.
BACKGROUND AND PRIOR ART OF INVENTION
A finger ring predominantly is made of precious metals such as gold or silver or of any other metal. Upto the present date, a finger ring which mainly is inscribed with precious stones consists of a non varying finger size and is manufactured and made only on made to order basis for the person who shall be wearing the ring and that also on a particular finger. Therefore, due to physiological changes in the body, the finger size may vary. Further, the one non changing measurement of the ring makes it difficult for the person to wear the ring over a long period of time especially when the finger ring size varies due to various physiological factors such as age and other factors. Hence, it is required for the ring to be adjusting in its size to provide more flexibility to the ring and provide a long lasting effectiveness to the ring wearer.
There are many patents which describe various ring attachments that provide adjustability. However, none of the present invention describes a ring attachment made of a special alloy which can impart a comfortable adjustability to the ring wearer.
Patent No. WO 2018/005786 A1 discloses a spring member which acts as a ring resize and is coupled to the ring shank at the base thereof. The spring member has ends which are upwardly

turned so as to be received within a space underneath the setting when the spring member is in a tensioned (expanded) position.
However, the present invention comprises of a metal part which is made with a special alloy and shape is soldered at the bottom of the shank. Due to a special attachment, the material and shape create a movement effect which expands or contracts when the ring size of the finger varies. It also acts like cushion between the finger and the ring shank.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION:
The primary object of this invention is to provide an adjustability attachment to a finger ring.
Still another object is to provide a comfortable fit to the ring wearer whereon the special alloy imparts a cushioning effect on the circumference of the ring finger thereby imparting adjustability and comfort to the ring wearer.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS:
Figure 1 is the Top view of the ring attachment Figure 2 is the Front View of the ring attachment Figure 3 is the Side View of the ring attachment Figure 4 is the perspective view of the ring attachment Figure 5 is the Bottom View of the ring attachment Figure 6 is the Top view of the ring Figure 7 is the Front View of the ring Figure 8 is the Side View of the ring

Figure 9 is the perspective view of the ring
Figure 10 to 13 are gradation view of the ring attachment and the ring showing compression of the ring attachment
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION:
The present invention will now be described with the help of the accompanying drawings wherein the same numerals are used to denote the same part. However, the drawings only illustrate the invention and in no way limit the invention.
As per Figures 1 and 2, the said ring attachment is mainly constructed of a special alloy which imparts flexibility and elasticity to the ring attachment. The said flexibility aids in the compression of the ring attachment into the inner hollow of the main finger ring.
The said ring attachment is constructed in a tapered form wherein the width of the ring attachment, decreases from the upper portion to the lower portion. Hence, (1) which is the uppermost left side of the attachment and (10) which is the uppermost right side of the attachment are the widest which taper down to (5) and (6) which are the narrowest portion of the ring attachment. Further, at position (5) and (6) notches are present which help in attaching the said ring attachment to the bottom hollow portion of the ring. The said notches are present on the upper angular side of the ring attachment at position (5) and (6) as the said portions are narrowest and there is minimal flexibility or elasticity of the ring attachment at those portions. Therefore, the presence of notches at those portions i.e. (5) and (6) is mainly so that the ring attachment is fixed firmly into the bottom hollow portion of the main as and by way of soldering.
Further, the said ring attachment is designed in a manner which comprises of smooth curved finishing of the ring attachment at portions (1) and (10). The curved smooth finish is to ensure the fit of the same into the upper hollow of the ring to impart comfort. Moreover, a groove is

present on the entire outer edge of the ring attachment. An identical groove is present in the entire inner hollow of the main ring attachment at positions (12) and (13). The said groove is mainly present for the fitting of the ring attachment into the inner hollow of the main ring. The said groove is also constructed in a tapering manner wherein the width of the groove is highest at portion (1) and (10), slightly lesser at portion (2) and (9), even much lesser at portions (3) and (8), lesser at portions (4) and (7) and the least at portions (5) and (6), where the aforementioned notches are present.
As per figures 10 to 13, the said ring attachment is fitted into the hollow of the ring where the groove of the ring attachment fits into the groove of the inner hollow of the main ring. Further, the notches present on (5) and (6) of the ring attachment, are soldered into the hollow spaces (15) and (16) of the main ring.
Figures 10 to 13, show the gradation of the compression of the ring attachment. Thus when the circumference of the finger is at the thinnest, the said ring attachment will be in its most compressed state as shown in Figure 10, wherein the attachment will be in compressed form to ensure that the outer ring is not loose and the attachment will provide comfort wearability to the ring.
Figures 11 and 12 where there is slight expansion of the finger ring attachment and the said attachment will be moving into the inner groove of the main finger ring.
Further, Figure 13 shows the ring attachment in its fully expanded form. Thus when the circumference of the finger ring is the thickest, the ring attachment will expand to go further deep into the grove of the main finger ring to encompass the thicker circumference of the finger ring and hence, will provide comfort to the ring wearer.
For the sake of clarity and working of the said ring attachment, Figures 10 to 13 show the gradual expansion of the finger ring attachment from minimal expansion to maximum expansion.

The said attachment imparts adjustability in ring size and also adds additional comfort when worn on the finger. It also acts like cushion between the finger and the ring shank thereby giving a adjustable fit to the finger ring.

I/We Claim:

comprising:
a) A tapered form wherein the width of the said device decreases from the upper portion to the lower portion
b) the outer edge of the circular device which is hollow , to be adjusted into the inner hollow portion of the ring;
c) the presence of two notches (5) and (6) on the bottom of the said circular device which is soldered to the inner bottom portion of the main ring.

2) A metal device as claimed in claim 1 whose upper open ended edges (1) and (10) are curved inward to provide a smooth finish to the said metal device.
3) A metal device as claimed in claim 1 which is fitted into the inner hollow of the main ring wherein the said main ring comprises of hollow spaces (15) and (16), into which the notches of the metal device (5) and (6) are soldered to ensure the same is fitted properly.
