Abstract: The present invention provides an easy and simple mechanism for adjusting the nozzle on outlet of taps that differ in diameter. The inventors have provided a cut on the nozzle that runs through its length. Due to this cut a gap is formed in the nozzle. A strip made up of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) material is provided in that gap in the internal side of nozzle. This strip runs through the length of the nozzle and is very innovatively bonded with the nozzle from one side and kept free from other side. This allows the free movement of the strip and also helps in adjustment for taps of different diameter. A clamp with a wing nut is provided on nozzle that helps in gripping the tap properly and is tightened according to the diameter of the tap outlet. Wing nut also acts a very easy tightening mechanism.
FIELD OF INVENTION
The present invention relates to the field of nozzles that can be mounted on the outlet of the water tap. More specifically the present invention is directed towards adjustable nozzle for tap water outlet.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
A nozzle is a device designed to control the direction or characteristics of a fluid flow (especially to increase velocity) as it exits (or enters) an enclosed chamber or pipe.
A nozzle is often a pipe or tube of varying cross sectional area and it can be used to direct or modify the flow of a fluid (liquid or gas). Nozzles are frequently used to control the rate of flow, 10 speed, direction, mass, shape, and/or the pressure of the stream that emerges from them. In nozzle velocity of fluid increases on the expense of its pressure energy. So different types and sizes of nozzles are available in the market and each nozzle has its specific purpose.

The nozzles are also used as a connector on the outlet of tap and is very common in daily household 15 operations. Using this nozzle, standard flexible water pipe is connected with tap and the user is able to transfer the tap water to short distance easily like watering the earthen pots, car washing, floor washing etc.
The nozzles that are available in the market are plastic or rubber molded and are only available in a particular size (diameter). But the taps that are normally used in the house are of variable 20 diameter. So it becomes very difficult to fit one size (diameter) of nozzle on the other tap that has diameter different. So the inventors of the present invention have developed an adjustable nozzle that can be mounted on the outlet of taps of variable diameter.

The nozzle (1) consists of a strip (3) that is bonded with the nozzle (1) from one side and other side of the strip (3) is kept free for movement. The function of strip (3) is to avoid leakage while varying diameter of tap nozzle (1). For the adjustment and tightening of the nozzle (1), a clamp (2) with wing nut (4) is provided. The clamp (2) is placed over top periphery of tap nozzle (1).

Working of the present invention:
1- The clamp (2) is fully loosened and nozzle (1) is inserted over the outlet of the tap.

2- The clamp (2) with wing nut (4) that is provided at the top periphery of the nozzle (1) is tightened by rotating the wing nut clockwise.
3- Due to the rotation of the wing nut (4), the strip (3) also contracts and helps in avoiding leakage.
4- The clamp (2) with wing nut (4) is so provided that it can be very easily tightened with 5 manual hand force only.
5- So the mechanism is easy and can used to adjust the nozzle (1) for a range of different tap diameters.
We can adjust the tap nozzle (1) diameter with the help of wing nut (4) and clamp (2) for a range of approximate half inch. 10
Novelty
The novelty of the present invention lies in developing an adjustable nozzle that can be very easily mounted on the water tap outlet. The problem that exist with the tap nozzle is that the same nozzle cannot be mounted on any other tap which has diameter little smaller or bigger than the nozzle 15 diameter. So the inventors have developed an adjustable nozzle that can be very easily mounted on the taps with different diameter.
Inventive step
The inventor of the present invention has overcome the problem of using multiple nozzle for water tap that have different diameter. The inventors have provided cut in the nozzle and a strip made up 20 of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) material is provided in that space. This strip is very innovatively bonded with the nozzle that allow the adjustment for taps of different diameter. A clamp is provided on nozzle that helps in holding the tap properly and is tighten according to the diameter of the water tap outlet.

Industrial application Adjustable nozzle finds its application in sanitary industry. The adjustable nozzle will serve the purpose of using multiple nozzles for water taps of different diameter. There will be no need to keep nozzles of different diameter in stock at hardware and sanitary shops.

An adjustable nozzle system for water tap consisting of nozzle (1) in which a cut provided that runs through its length and creates splitting (Gap) in nozzle (1); strip (3) made up of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) material and clamp (2) with wing nut (4) provided over upper periphery of the nozzle (1) to grip the tap properly when nozzle 5 (1) with strip (3) is inserted over it

2. The adjustable nozzle system as claimed in claim 1 WHEREIN the same nozzle (1) along with inserted Strip (3) can be mounted on the outlet of tap of any diameter up to 15 a range of half inch of actual diameter of nozzle (1) and tightened with the help of clamp (2) with wing nut (4).
