Advanced Stationary Sealing Cooled Cross Section For Axial Retention Of Ceramic Matrix Composite Shrouds

Abstract: ABSTRACT In one aspect, the present subject matter is directed to a gas turbine sealing assembly 100 that includes a first static gas turbine wall 94(a), 94(b), 94(c) and a second static gas turbine wall 84(a), 84(b). A seal 100 is disposed between the first static gas turbine wall 94(a), 94(b), 94(c) and the second static gas turbine wall 84(a), 84(b). The seal 100 includes a first seal layer 102 defining a first seal layer aperture 108 extending therethrough. A second seal layer 104 defines an elongated slot 110 extending therethrough. The elongated slot 110 includes a first end 128 and a second end 130. A third seal layer 106 defines a third seal layer aperture 112 extending therethrough. The second seal layer 104 is positioned between the first seal layer 102 and the third seal layer 106 such that the first seal layer aperture 108 is in fluid communication with the first end 128 and the third seal layer aperture 112 is in fluid communication with the second end 130.
