Air Cleaner

Abstract: ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An air cleaner is provided with an air cleaner case body including a case member and a cover member which are assembled into an air cleaner case body having an inner hollow portion, a filter element is housed in the inner hollow portion, and the air cleaner case body is formed with an air flow-in port through which an outside air is introduced and formed with a mount hole to which a connecting tube is mounted so as to supply the outside air filtrated by the filter element into an internal combustion engine. The filter element includes a pair of end plates attached to axial both end portions thereof, a connection port formed to one end plate so as to axially extend, the connecting tube being connected to the connection port, and a filtrating member provided to a side peripheral surface of the filter element, and the one end plate is provided with a sectioning wall portion axially extending from an outer peripheral surface of the connection port with a predetermined distance therefrom. One end portion of the connecting tube is engaged with the connection port and the sectioning wall portion to thereby define a functioning chamber by the outer peripheral surface of the connection port, the inner peripheral surface of the sectioning wall portion and the inner peripheral surface of the connecting tube.
