, Description:FIELD OF THE INVENTION:
The present invention generally relates to an air cooling apparatus, particularly to an evaporative air-cooler with removable cooling pad(s),more particularly to removable cooling pad(s), which can be easily removed, cleaned and reattach to the body of said air-cooler.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION:
The principles of evaporative air-cooling have been exploited for several decades by man in several countries of the world to obtain relief from uncomfortable hot weather. Air coolers are more effective in dry, hot tropical locations.
Present day air coolers typically comprise of a body, a water tank, fibre pads (of different possible materials), air moving device (axial or centrifugal or cross flow fans) and water circulation system. A motorized air moving device mounted within the body of the air cooler - with fibre pads on at least one of the sides of the air cooler - blows the cool air from the air outlet (usually at front or top of the air cooler). The loosely woven fibres of the fibre pads are made of hay or cellulose. In case when fibre pads are made of hay, hay wool is filled in the cotton net of the fibre pad and in the case when fibre pads are made of cellulose, the fibre pad consist of paper and special adhesive with multiple layer of corrugated paper arranged in honeycomb manner. The fibres of the pads are kept wetted using a water distribution system. The cooling pad of an air cooler is fixed to the housing of the air cooler and often it is cumbersome to clean the pad completely.
For effective working of an evaporative air cooler, water plays an important role. The quality of water used in an air cooler may not be always good and due to which after certain interval of time said water content of the air-cooler gets more and more contaminated, particularly due to regular evaporation of water and gradual increase in the concentration of solid contaminants and salts in the water content therein. Consequently the cooling pad(s), upon which the water of the said evaporative air-cooler runs, gradually get coated with said solid contaminants and salts and thus it becomes incapable of maintaining uniform water flow throughout its total area and therefore unable to support effective evaporation and air-cooling action of said air-cooler. Thus it becomes necessary to either clean the total area of the said cooling pad or to replace it. To maintain effective water circulation within the air-cooler and due to frequent cleaning/replacement of cooling pad(s) the user of said conventional evaporative air-cooler does not find it very economical and user-friendly.
PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH THE PRIOR ART:
During the running of the air cooler, dust from air is washed into the water. Usually, dust and salts in water settle at the surface of the cooling pad, particularly as and when it gets dry, which results in scaling or choking of cooling pads. Due to dust pollutants coming from ambient air and the growth of unwanted biological material therein in stagnant stored tank-water, the air-cooling action of the evaporative air-cooler becomes less effective. Accumulation of foulants in the re-circulating water within the body of evaporative air-cooler not only leads to foil smell as well as inefficient evaporation due to lowered purity level of water, non-uniform coverage of the cooing pad(s) and frequent breakdown of water circulating pump because of the hostile condition in which it operates i.e high moisture and frequent splashes of water.
Therefore, the cooling pad needs to be cleaned properly to ensure efficient cooling and consistent fresh and healthy air to be delivered by the evaporative air cooler. Often, such cleaning is done by opening of an evaporative cooler body, but generally there is limited access to the cooling pads for proper cleaning, which is usually done manually. Such manual removal and cleaning of the cooling pads are very much prone to wear & tear, disturbing to the uniformity of the water circulation channels of said pad and breakage of certain structural component therein.
Therefore, it would be advantageous to develop an evaporative air cooler that comprises of easily removable cooling pad.
In addition, it would be advantageous to develop such an air cooler in which the cooling pad can be easily removed, cleaned and re-installed.
In addition, it would be advantageous to developan evaporative air coolerin which cooling pad can be easily removed, cleaned and reattached to the body of the air cooler, without using any special tool.
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION:
The object of the present invention is to propose an evaporative air cooler with at least one cooling pad with easy cleaning property.
Further object of the invention is to ensure that the removing/detaching the cooling pad from the body of evaporative air-cooler is smooth such that the task does not need special tools for such removal of the cooling pad.
Another object of the invention is to propose a new cooling pad for an evaporative air-cooler, which is not prone to abrasion and any alteration in its cooling pad matrix, towards maintaining the water-channels of the cooling pads.
Another object of the present invention is to provide an arrangement where such removable cooling pad can be easily removed from the air cooler, carried out to cleaning and then placed back into the air cooler.
