Air Purification Unit (Apu) Integrated With Seat Or Chair

Abstract: A device and method are disclosed, for purifying air in an indoor environment. The device includes a blower (102) configured to create suction to produce an input air stream. An air filter(104) in the device removes particles from the input air stream to produce an output air stream. The air filter (104) includes a pair of electrically conductive layers (106, 108) configured to filter particles in the input air stream and release an intermediate air stream. Each layer is connected to electrical terminals of opposite polarity and composed of activated carbon granules. The air filter (104) further includes a high efficiency particulate filter (HEPA) layer configured to trap particles in the intermediate air stream and release the output air stream. The blower (102) is configured to deliver the output air stream to the indoor environment through an outlet (310). FIG. 6
