Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to the field of chemical sciences and negative emission technology. The disclosure further relates to a process for converting carbon dioxide into methanol by employing quantum imprinted nanomaterials (containing nanozymes) via electrochemical reduction. The disclosure furthermore relates to an electrochemical cell (1) which has the capability of converting carbon dioxide to methanol, wherein the electrochemical cell comprises an anode (5) comprising Zn quantum material and a cathode (6) comprising nano quartz coated with nanozyme(s) incorporated printed polymer with selective 3D imprinted memory for carbon dioxide electrochemical reduction.
