Abstract: Smart aircon apparel for two wheeler riders is proposed. The proposed apparel comprises satin jacket, satin trouser and two other provisions for airflow i.e. one for helmet and the other for shoe. All the costumes mentioned above have an opening and special tubing design in the costume for cool and hot air flow through them making the body cool or hot as required by the riders and climatic conditions. The cool and hot air is generated by provision given above the silencer and the control of the airflow can be tuned through controller given at the front part of the bike. This low cost outfit provides a best solution for two wheeler riders in both hot and cold condition making them more comfortable during their ride. The present invention is meant for head to toe.
Field of the Invention
Cool and hot air flow through them making the body cool or hot as required by the riders and climatic conditions
Background of the invention
Only for jacket different kind of cooling system is available.
Objective of the Invention
Proposed apparel comprises satin jacket, satin trouser and two other provisions for airflow i.e. one for helmet and the other for shoe. All the costumes mentioned above have an opening and special tubing design in the costume for cool and hot air flow through them making the body cool or hot as required by the riders and climatic conditions.
Summary of the Invention
Although several new models of car arrive in India the usage of two wheelers remain significant. Two wheelers are the easy means of transport in India due to the huge population, traffic and improper roads. Also the two wheeler driving is quick and easy to access. The major problem the two wheeler drivers face is they get affected due bad weather conditions. They are affected mostly in summer due to hot sun rays and in winter due to heavy rainfall. In order to overcome the above bad climatic conditions special aircon for two wheelers was designed [1, 2], This system proved to be futile as it was hazardous to health, the air flow control system was present at the back side and hence the driver faced problem every time if he need to tune the ac, the back sitter faced problem in sitting as the hose pipe was there, it consumed huge space etc. Hence this novel designed aircon outfit is proposed with a simple cool/hot air generation system. The proposed jacket and trouser is made up of satin. The satin is selected as it is waterproof, airlock, resistive to heat, rough use, low cost and easy to be maintained [3, 4]. Air circulation is done through special black sleeve material. Black sleeve material is chosen as it is odour free, resistive to heat, rough use, low cost, and highly flexible, tensile and non shrinkable. This low cost jacket provides significant advantage and can be readily commercialized. This system makes the two wheeler riders comfortable in any climatic condition as it provides both cool and hot air as required by the two wheeler driver. The outfit is allergy free and does not give any itchy sensation making the system more useful.
Hot and Cool air generation:
A small battery power compressor is fitted in the bike conveniently and outlet of the compressed air is connected with either cold air production unit or hot air production unit to get required outlet air (cold or hot). The same is connected through the outfit that is specially designed. The hot air is generated as shown in Fig. 1. Hot air is produced in the projection given above the silencer, the normal air when made to circulate around the silencer it becomes hot air. The cool air is generated as shown in Fig. 2. Cool air is generated through a special container box containing many ice balls put inside steel. The container is heat resistive such that ice lasts for long and melts after few hours. Again the normal air when passed over the cool container box becomes cold air. The hot or cold air as required by the driver is selected by a controller present near the petrol tank. The air flow is carried through the special pipes.
Outfit Design:
The jacket as well as the trouser is made up of satin material. Fig. 3 shows the design of jacket. The jacket has a nozzle at the back end making the air to enter it. The satin vest constitutes of cartilage designed tubes sandwiched between two cotton layers. The air entering through the nozzle enters the vertebra design at the back side of jacket then enters the cartilage design present. More number of pores is made in the black sleeve so that more air circulation is possible. However, considering health issues less pores is placed at chest part of the jacket. The hand part and the hip part of the jacket are provided with air tight gripper such that no air escapes outside. Fig. 4 shows the design of the trouser. The air entry inside the trouser is through nozzle provided at the top of the trouser. The tubing design with pores in black sleeve is done again in trouser for free air circulation. The hip and bottom part of the trouser is again provided with air tight gripper so as to avoid the escape of air. A nozzle projection is given at the bottom of the helmet as shown in Fig. 5 so that air enters the helmet. There is a nozzle projection at the bottom of the trouser as shoes can be connected to feel the incoming air. The entire system appears as shown in Fig. 5
