Alcohol Free Cleansing Composition, Methods And Uses Thereof

Abstract: The present disclosure provides an alcohol free cleansing composition incorporated into a wipe, comprising an oi phase, lipid phase, and a non-alcoholic solubilizer with superior skin sensorials. Also provided is a process of preparing said wipe.

Specification

Claims:1. A wipe comprising an absorbent substrate whereto a cleansing composition has been applied, said cleansing composition comprising: (a) oil phase; (b) water phase; and (c) a solubilizer, wherein oil phase to solubilizer w/w ratio is in the range of 1:0.6-1:1.5.
2. The wipe as claimed in claim 1, wherein oil phase to solubilizer w/w ratio is in the range of 1:0.8-1:1.
3. The wipe as claimed in claim 1, wherein said water phase comprises at least one humectant selected from the group consisting of propylene glycol, hydroxyl ethyl urea, glycerine, and combinations thereof and said at least one humectant weight concentration in said cleansing composition is in the range of 0.3-15%.

The wipe as claimed in claim 3, wherein said at least one humectant is propylene glycol having weight concentration in the range of 0.1-5% in said cleansing composition, hydroxyl ethylurea having weight concentration in the range of 0.1-5% in said cleansing composition and glycerine having weight concentration in the range of 0.1-5% in said cleansing composition.

The wipe as claimed in claim 3, said water phase further comprises: (a) PEG 12 dimethicone having weight concentration in the range of 0.2-1% in said cleansing composition; (b) aloe vera extract having weight concentration in the range of 0.1-5% in said cleansing composition; (c) allaintoin having weight concentration in the range of 0.1-1% in said cleansing composition; (d) at least one preservative selected from the group consisting of DMDM hydantoin [1,3-Bis(hydroxymethyl)-5,5-dimethylimidazolidine-2,4-dione)], phenoxyethanol, and combinations thereof, wherein said at least preservative weight concentration in said cleansing composition is in the range of 0.5-2%; (e) EDTA disodium having weight concentration in the range of 0.01-0.1% in said cleansing composition; (f) disodium cocoampho diacetate having weight concentration in the range of 0.05-0.5% in said cleansing composition; (g) triethanol amine having weight concentration in the range of 0.02-0.1% in said cleansing composition; and (h) water having weight concentration at least 65%.
6. The wipe as claimed in claim 5, wherein said at least one preservative is DMDM hydrantoin having weight concentration in the range of 0.3-1% in said cleansing composition, and phenoxyethanol having weight concentration in the range of 0.2-1% in said cleansing composition.
7. The wipe as claimed in claim 1, wherein said solubilizer is polysorbate20 and weight concentration of polysorbate20 in said cleansing composition is in the range of 0.09-3.2%.

The wipe as claimed in claim 1, wherein said oil phase comprises: (a) menthyl lactate having weight concentration in the range of 0.05-0.25% in said cleansing composition; (b) vitamin E acetate having weight concentration in the range of 0.001-0.1% in said cleansing composition; (c) triclosan having weight concentration in the range of 0.05-0.3% in said cleansing composition; and (d) fragrance having weight concentration of 0.05-1.5% in said cleansing composition.
9. The wipe as claimed in claim 1, wherein said cleansing composition comprises:
- a water phase comprising: (a) water having weight concentration to make up to 100%; (b) propylene glycol having weight concentration in the range of 0.1-5%; (c) hydroxyl ethylurea having weight concentration in the range of 0.1-5%; (d) PEG 12 dimethicone having weight concentration in the range of 0.2-1%; (e) aloe vera extract having weight concentration in the range of 0.1-5%; (f) allaintoin having weight concentration in the range of 0.1-1%; (g) DMDM hydrantoin having weight concentration in the range of 0.3-1%; (h) phenoxythanol having weight concentration in the range of 0.3-1%; (i) glycerine having weight concentration in the range of 0.1-5%; (j) EDTA disodium having weight concentration in the range of 0.01-0.1%; (k) disodium cocoampho diacetate having weight concentration in the range of 0.05-0.5%; and (l) triethnaolamine having weight concentration in the range of 0.02-0.1%;
- a solubilizer, polysorbate 20 having weight concentration in the range of 0.09-3.2%; and
- an oil phase comprising: (a) menthyl lactate having weight concentration in the range of 0.05-0.25%; (b) vitamin E acetate having weight concentration in the range of 0.001-0.1%; (c) triclosan having weight concentration in the range of 0.05-0.3%; and (d) fragrance having weight concentration in the range of 0.5-1.5%.
10. The wipe as claimed in claim 9, wherein said cleansing composition comprises:
- a water phase comprising: (a) water having weight concentration of 97.13%; (b) propylene glycol having weight concentration of 0.3%; (c) hydroxyl ethylurea having weight concentration of 0.3%; (d) PEG 12 dimethicone having weight concentration of 0.2%; (e) aloe vera extract having weight concentration of 0.1%; (f) allaintoin having weight concentration of 0.1%; (g) DMDM hydrantoin having weight concentration of 0.3%; (h) phenoxythanol having weight concentration of 0.2%; (i) glycerine having weight concentration of 0.2%; (j) EDTA disodium having weight concentration of 0.05%; (k) disodium cocoampho diacetate having weight concentration of 0.2%; and (l) triethnaolamine having weight concentration of 0.02%;
- a solubilizer, polysorbate 20 having weight concentration of 0.45%; and
- an oil phase comprising: (a) menthyl lactate having weight concentration of 0.15%; (b) vitamin E acetate having weight concentration of 0.001%; (c) triclosan having weight concentration of 0.05%; and (d) fragrance having weight concentration of 0.25%.
11. The wipe as claimed in any of the claims 1-10, wherein said wipe pH is in the range of 5.5-6.5.
12. A process of preparing a wipe as claimed in any of the claims 1-11, said process comprising: (a) taking one part water (20% weight percent) under stirring and adding EDTA disodium and mixing for 5 minutes in a first container; (b) taking one part water (20% weight percent) and adding one by one, propylene glycol, glycerine, hydroxyl ethylurea, aloe vera extract, DMDM hydrantoin, phenoxyethanol in a second container, wherein after addition of each component, the mixture is stirred for 2-10 minutes before addition of the next ingredient; (c) adding allaintoin to second container and mixing for 2-10 minutes; (d) adding PEG 12 dimethicone and disodium cocoampho diacetate one by one to second container , wherein after addition of each component, the mixture is stirred for 5 minutes before addition of the next ingredient; (e) mix contents of second container to first container; (f) adding vitamin E acetate, triclosan, menthyl lactate and fragrance in a third container and mixing for 10-20 minutes or until homogenization; (g) adding polysorbate 20 in to third container and mixing for 10-20 minutes or until homogenization; (h) mixing contents of third container to first container and mixing for 10-30 minutes; (i) adding remaining water to first container under continued stirring; (j) optionally adding triethanolamine to adjust pH to about 5.5-6.5 to obtain a transient suspension; and (k) adding said suspension on said absorbent substrate to obtain said wipe.
