Abstract: The present subject matter relates to an alignment system (106) for an unwinder (102). The alignment system (106) may comprise a plurality of guiding rails (202) such that each of guiding rails (202) facilitates the sliding of a guide (204) on the guiding rail (202). The alignment system (106) may comprise a base frame (106-2) and an upper frame (106-1) each comprising a plurality of upper frame roller (208b) and a plurality of base frame roller (208a). Further, the base frame (106-2) may be coupled to the guide (204) to slide on the guiding rails (202). The alignment system (106) may further comprise a plurality of counter weight (212) that is coupled to the base frame (106-2) to provide a force to slide the base frame (106-2) on the guiding rails (202).
CLIAMS:1. An alignment system (106) for an unwinder (102), the alignment system (106) comprising:
a plurality of guiding rails (202), wherein each of the guiding rail (202) from amongst the plurality of guiding rails (202) facilitate sliding motion of at least one guider (204);
a base frame (106-2) coupled to the plurality of guiding rail (202) through the at least one guider (204), wherein the base frame (106-2) slides along a length of the plurality of guiding rails (202); and
at least one counter weight (212) coupled to the base frame (106-2).
2. The alignment system (106) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the base frame (106-2) includes at least one roller (208a), wherein the at least one roller (208a) is to form a festoon of a web released by the unwinder (102).
3. The alignment system (106) as claimed in claim 2, wherein the web is of a substrate (104).
4. The alignment system (106) as claimed in claim 2, wherein the web is of a packaging paper.
5. The alignment system (106) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the plurality of guiding rails (202) are aligned vertically such that the base frame (106-2) slides in vertical direction.
6. The alignment system (106) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the at least one counter weight (212) pulls the base frame (106-2) in vertically downward direction.
7. The alignment system (106) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the base frame (106-2) slides on the plurality of guiding rails (202) to perform a simple harmonic motion.
8. The alignment system (106) as claimed in claim 1, wherein weight of each of the at least one counter weight (212) is about 200 grams.
9. The alignment system (106) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the counter weight (212) is placed such that the center of gravity of the base frame (106-2) is substantially unchanged.
10. The alignment system (106) as claimed in claim 2, wherein the unwinder (102) provides the web of the substrate (104) to a packaging unit (108).
11. The alignment system (106) as claimed in claim 10, wherein the packaging unit (108) is a HLP forming machine.
12. The alignment system (106) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the base frame (106-2) further comprises at least one attachment point to attach at least one counter weight (212) to the base frame (106-2).
13. The alignment system (106) as claimed in claim 2, further comprising at least one position sensor (218) coupled to one of the guiding rail (202) to sense the position of the base frame (106-2) along the length of the guiding rail (202) and actuate the unwinder (102) to release the web based on a position of the base frame (106-2).
