Alkaline Battery Gasket

Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to provide an alkaline battery gasket comprising a polyamide resin composition that makes the difference in burst strength between an absolute dry condition and a water absorption condition small, that is excellent in alkali resistance, heat resistance and lightness, and that has transparency such that inspection for foreign matter can be carried out. An alkaline battery gasket comprises a resin composition obtained by incorporating 50-95 parts by weight of a polyamide 610 resin (A) and 5-50 parts by weight of a polyethylene resin (B) as the total amount of the polyamide 610 resin (A) and the polyethylene resin (B) is 100 parts by weight. In the morphology in the resin composition observed by transmission electron tomography, the polyamide 610 resin (A) forms a continuous phase and the polyethylene resin (B) forms a dispersed phase. The average dispersion diameter in the dispersed phase is 1-1000 nm.
