Alloy For Sand Caste Vehicle Part, Methods, And Applications Thereof

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an alloy for sand-cast vehicle part, and a 5 method for manufacturing said alloy. The alloy comprises: copper (Cu) up to 0.10%; silicon (Si) 7.5-8.5%; magnesium (Mg) 0.35-0.45%; manganese (Mn) up to 0.10%; iron (Fe) up to 0.20%; nickel (Ni) up to 0.05%; titanium (Ti) up to 0.20%; zinc (Zn) up to 0.10%; Sr 0.005-0.015%; and the remainder of aluminum and unavoidable impurities. The present disclosure further provides a sand-casting method for a vehicle part, 10 characterized in that the vehicle part comprises said alloy.
