WE CLAIM:
1. An amorphous form of Ozenoxacin.
2. A process for preparing amorphous Ozenoxacin of claim 1, comprising:

a) providing a solution of Ozenoxacin in a solvent or a mixture of solvents,
b) removing the solvent from the solution obtained in step a), and
c) isolating an amorphous form of Ozenoxacin.
3. A process for the preparation of Ozenoxacin compound of formula (I) comprising the
steps of;
a) 2,4-dichloro-3-methyl benzoic acid of formula (II) is reacted with ethyl 3-(dimethylamino)acrylate (III) to obtain (Z)-ethyl 2-(2,4-dichloro-3-methylbenzoyl) -3-(dimethylamino)acrylate (IV).
b) The product of Step a) is reacted with cyclopropylamine in presence of base and solvent to obtain compound of formula (V).

c) The product of Step b) is reacted with the compound of formula (X) in presence of Palladium catalyst to obtain compound of formula (XV).
d) The product of Step c) is deprotected in presence of acidic conditions / base to obtain Ozenoxacin (I).
4. The process as claimed in claim 2 & 3, where in the solvent is selected from dimethyl sulfoxide, acetone, tetrahydrofuran, dimethylformamide, acetonitrile and ethyl acetate, dichloromethane, toluene, acetic acid, methanol, ethanol, isopropanol and water;
5. The process as claimed in claim 3, where in the base is selected from potassium carbonate, sodium carbonate, ammonia, potassium hydroxide and sodium hydroxide.
6. The process as claimed in claim 3, where in the cyclisation reagent is selected from p-toluene sulphonic acid, P2O5 / Methane sulphonic acid, polyphosphoric acid, sulphuric acid, trifluoro acetic acid and Phosphoryl chloride.

7. The process as claimed in claim 3, where in the deprotection agents are selected from trifluoroacetic acid, aqueous hydrochloric acid, sulphuric acid and methane sulphonic acid, preferably aqueous hydrochloric acid.
