An Adaptor Assembly

Abstract: Examples of an adaptor assembly are described. The adaptor assembly comprises a first and second cover component, each having a semi-circular 5 neck portion with a set of ribs extending on the inner surface. When attached, the neck portions form a circular cross-section to receive and engage an elongated tube, such as a corrugated tube housing a bundle of wires. The ribs on the inner surface of the neck portions engage with the grooves on the outer surface of the tube, restricting its lateral and sideways 10 movement. The assembly also includes a slot formed on the first neck portion which exposed due to difference in length of neck portions, enabling tying of a wiring harness, such as bundle of wires, using a tie band on the adaptor assembly to restrict its rotation. The assembly is designed to protect the wires from harmful effects such as rotation, stretching, vibration, 15 moisture, and abrasions. 23
