Abstract: AN ADJUSTABLE LEG SUPPORT PROVISION FOR COOKING APPLIANCES ABSTRACT The present invention relates to a cooking appliance/ apparatus with adjustable leg support whose clearance from the kitchen slab can be adjusted according to the consumer’s needs. The leg support is separated into a minimum of three compartments (Fig 1(a, b)) and are stacked one upon another. A single block can provide a basic clearance of the stove from the kitchen slab (200). When more clearance is needed for the entire hand of the consumer to enter into the space between the under surface of the stove and the top surface of the kitchen slab, the blocks/ compartments can be stacked one upon another (202) to provide a greater clearance from the surface.
1. An adjustable leg support for stovetop cookware appliances, wherein a minimum of three compartments (Fig 1(a, b)) (202) which are separate units that are stackable one upon another by fitting into the top end of the additional compartment (201) into the grooves in the underside of each compartment (200).
2. The adjustable leg support for stovetop cookware appliances, as claimed in claim 1, wherein, the single compartment provides basic clearance from the supporting surface, and additional compartments can be added one by one as per the need of the consumer.
Description:FIELD OF INVENTION
The present invention relates to the field of stove tops, more specifically to cooking appliance/ apparatus which is provided with an adjustable leg support, particularly relating to a kind of cooking apparatus whose clearance from the kitchen slab can be adjusted according to the consumer’s needs.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Glass top gas stoves have become popular nowadays in the Indian kitchens. However, the regular habit of cleaning of kitchen slab surface under the stove portion after food preparation has become a challenging task due to the heavy weight of glass top stove. The consumer/ user finds it difficult to lift the stove for cleaning under the stove.
In countries like India, where fresh meal is prepared every time in most houses, cleaning of the slab surface becomes utmost important. However, the standard clearance height of the stove from the surface of the kitchen slab is minimal not letting the hand of the cleaner to easily enter into the space between the under surface of the stove and the top surface of the kitchen slab to clean the area. Hence the standard clearance height does not fit in all the cases.
Some of the patent literature on novel additions to the stove top and height adjustable systems have been discussed below:
The patent CN106051851A (Adjustable cooker support and gas stove) relates to an adjustable cooker support which comprises a base, a sliding block and a supporting leg which vertically slides along the sliding block and is fixed to the supporting column in a height-adjustable manner. This is similar to a rachet type of sliding and adjusts the height difference between the vessel and the flame which is different from our given invention which consists of supporting blocks/compartments that twist into each other.
The patent application INA202341060838 ( A system for height adjustable digital table and a method thereof) relates to a height adjustable digital table where the height is adjusted using the sliding movement of the supporting legs to adjust the ground clearance of the table. This type of height adjustment is different from our given invention which consists of supporting blocks/compartments that twist into each other.
Thus, there exists a need for a height adjustable gas stove that can be adjusted in a very stable and safe manner using stackable blocks/compartments that facilitates ground clearance for cleaning under the stove top and other purposes. Our present invention seeks to remedy this need using stackable compartments that can fit into each other by twisting movement.
OBJECTIVE OF THE INVENTION
The main objective of our present invention is to provide a stackable height adjustable support system for the stove top appliances to facilitate greater clearance of the stove top underside from the supporting surface.
Another objective of our present invention is to provide stackable compartments which fit onto each other (by a twisting movement) as stacks to provide increased height for the stove top as desired by the consumer.
Another objective of the present invention is to provide a safe height for the gas stove top to facilitate cleaning of the supporting surface underneath the stove top.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The following summary is provided to facilitate a clear understanding of the new features in the disclosed embodiment and it is not intended to be a full, detailed description. A detailed description of all the aspects of the disclosed invention can be understood by reviewing the full specification, the drawing and the claims and the abstract, as a whole.
The present invention provides with an adjustable leg support which is divided into minimum three compartments or blocks which can be stacked one upon another. A single block when fitted, to the under surface of the stove, provides a basic clearance. When more clearance is required, the compartments are stacked and assembled one upon another. Hence the clearance can be adjusted according to the need of the consumer by adjusting the assembly of the leg support.
In one aspect of the present invention the compartments fit onto each other by a twisting movement so that the compartments do not slide away or come loose for the safety of the stove top by preventing shakiness and ensuring stability of the stove top appliance system.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The principles of operation, design configurations and evaluation values in these non-limiting examples can be varied and are merely cited to illustrate at least one embodiment of the invention, without limiting the scope thereof.
The embodiments disclosed herein can be expressed in different forms and should not be considered as limited to the listed embodiments in the disclosed invention. The various embodiments outlined in the subsequent sections are constructed such that it provides a complete and a thorough understanding of the disclosed invention, by clearly describing the scope of the invention, for those skilled in the art.
Throughout this specification various indications have been given as to preferred and alternative embodiments of the invention. It should be understood that it is the appended claims, including all equivalents, which are intended to define the spirit and scope of this invention.
The present invention relates a height adjustable support for cooking appliances more specifically to stove tops. The height adjustable leg support, in accordance to one embodiment of our present invention comprises of blocks/compartments that can be fit to the cooking appliances legs to increase the clearance of the appliance from the ground.
In one embodiment of our present invention, the blocks/compartments consist of a top (fig. 1 (a)) which is fit to the stove top leg, and the other compartments (Fig. 1(b)) consist of a nob on the top and a groove ridge in the inner side of their bottom. The nob fits into the underside of the upper compartment thereby creating a stacking effect Fig (2) (202).
In one embodiment of our present invention, the compartments are 20mm in height and create a stackable height clearance of 60mm from the surface for the cooking appliance (Fig 3).
In another embodiment of our present invention the compartments fit into each other by means of a twisting effect (Fig 2) thereby creating a stable means of increasing the height of the cooking appliance without the risk of shakiness or coming of loose thereby creating an imbalance of the cooking surface which can be highly dangerous especially in case of gas stove tops.
