However, it should be appreciated that this section be used only to enhance the understanding of the reader with respect to the present disclosure, and not as admissions of prior art.
[03] In the modern world, patient immobility and disability are major health concerns. This is especially troubling for patients with chronic illnesses, such as those with spinal cord injuries and trauma victims, whose lives have in some cases been prolonged and improved thanks to the health care system. These patients, however, might not be able to walk independently, so they must rely on others to help them move. Decubitus ulcers and bedsores are serious issues that plague elderly patients as a result of their immobility, which also has an impact on the employees of nursing homes and skilled nursing institutions. Only a small percentage of patients have access to staffing for patient health. Most patients will only need a staff member's services for brief intervals during the day. It can be difficult to keep track of every patient's demands due to the vast and steadily growing number of patients assigned to each staff member. The service member may neglect the requirement to move these immobile patients within the little times that are given to each patient, which could lead to decubitus ulcers or bed sores.
[04] There is therefore a need in the art to provide a system and a method that can facilitate early identification of increased pressure and lowers the risk of pressure sores, currently available in prior arts.

[21] The present invention generally relates the field of biotechnology and medical monitoring. More particularly, the present invention relates to a system and method for providing a pressure measuring sheet and an alarm system.
[22] In one embodiment, the sheet is ultra-thin and Flexible and capable of detecting minute pressure changes effectively and can be used in healthcare systems. It has dual capability of having an alarm system and provision for light indication with increase in body pressure.
[23] In one embodiment, application of air mattress sheet is in healthcare facilities which includes hospital or home settings.
[24] In another embodiment, sheet makes it easier for carers to locate and manage pressure and shear- sensitive spots on a patient's body. It's an effective tool for preventing pressure sores and tissue damage.
[25] In another embodiment, with the aid of a pressure sensor and warning system, a highly sensitive sheet may detect minute changes in the pressure applied to pressure-sensitive spots. It is specifically made to avoid pressure ulcers and bed sores. It is a cutting-edge pressure measurement sheet that aids in the quick detection of elevated pressure and reduces the danger of pressure sores. This will lead to better patient care and lower costs. The goal is to create pressure sensor sheets with alarm systems so that, anytime a person's body pressure rises above a certain threshold, the alert system can be used to change position. The pressure sheet can accurately measure changes in body pressure.
[26] In another embodiment, the goal is to aid in lowering the risk of ulceration, slowing tissue aging, and accelerating the healing of existing wounds. For a more comfortable and covert sensor, the sheets can be tucked under pillows or beds. It is specifically made to prevent and treat pressure ulcers and bed sores. For people who are bedridden or immobile, it is perfect. Additionally, it will assist the carer in achieving ideal repositioning to lower danger. It is a cutting-edge pressure measurement sheet that offers early detection to assist minimise the risk of pressure sores, improve patient care, and lower expenses.
[27] In an exemplary embodiment, the one or more pressure sensors need to attach to the air mattress. The sensors can be strategically positioned all over the mattress to find pressure spots. On the market, there are many different types of pressure sensors are available, from basic pressure switches to more sophisticated sensors that can monitor pressure distribution over a broader area.
[28] In another embodiment, the one or more pressure sensors need to be linked to an alarm system once they are installed. The alarm system can be a single device positioned next to the bed or it can be included into a more comprehensive monitoring system. The user or carer will be informed to reposition the patient to relieve pressure on that location when the pressure sensors detect too much pressure in one area.
[29] In another embodiment, the alarm system is also linked with light to provide indication.
[30] An air mattress sheet with pressure sensors and an alarm system can be a useful tool for preventing pressure ulcers or bedsores in at-risk individuals. To create such a system, we need to start with an appropriate air mattress, attach pressure sensors, and connect them to an alarm system.
[31] Air mattresses with medical systems come in a variety of styles, including alternating pressure, reduced air loss, and lateral rotation mattresses. These mattresses are frequently used in nursing homes and hospitals to treat and prevent bedsores in patients who are unable to move around or who have limited mobility.
[32] While these mattresses may be useful in preventing bedsores, it's crucial to remember that they do not serve as a replacement for routine repositioning and skincare. To lessen the incidence of bedsores, it is still crucial to routinely move and reposition patients, practise proper cleanliness, and use the right skincare products.
[33] While considerable emphasis has been placed herein on the preferred embodiments, it will be appreciated that many embodiments can be made and that many changes can be made in the preferred embodiments without departing from the principles of the invention. These and other changes in the preferred embodiments of the invention will be apparent to those skilled in the art from the disclosure herein, whereby it is to be distinctly understood that the foregoing descriptive matter to be implemented merely as illustrative of the invention and not as limitation.
